What ships do you want to see most for each faction?

Wasn't the Avenger just a modified version of Vader's Advanced? I think it has a lot in common with the Advanced.

Those stats make sense but are you really going to take a generic at 25 points over a RGP w/ PTL? Or bring out a named Tie Advanced pilot? It would be just another option in the 25-33 point range which the Empire has a lot already. You are going to make the Defender even more obsolete.

4 agility would be nuts as a stat stock.

No, the Avenger was a different branch of development as far as I've been able to find. The Advanced, Avenger, Interceptor, and Defender were all experimental branches off the base TIE Fighter model.

I see the Advanced as a more direct improvement over the Fighter (primary attack force), the Defender as a more direct improvement over the Bomber (heavy hitter that is tough to kill), and the Avenger as a more direct improvement over the Interceptor (dogfighting superiority).

As for making the Defender more obsolete, I was originally thinking of making the Advanced the same cost as the Defender. At the very least, it should probably be at least 26 points so you can't take more than three in a standard squad. I don't know. I don't play competitively, so I'll leave the cost determination to someone more experienced.

YT-2000 for Rebels or Scum And Villainy (preferrably Scum since Rebels have enough turrets, but it's my favorite expanded universe ship so I just want it to show up)

Scum - Slave 2 I don't know the name of the ship itself though. Pretty sure it was the same as the Enkidu in X-Wing Assault

The Avenger doesn't really have anything in common with the Advanced. It's more like a cross between the Interceptor and Defender. Its biggest assets are its agility and firepower. I could see the Avenger being something like this:

Attack: 3

Agility: 3 (maybe even 4)

Hull: 2

Shields: 2

Actions: Focus, Target Lock, Evade, Boost

Slots: Missile

Cost: 25+

Dial: Same as the Interceptor dial but with 3-segnor loops instead of the 3 k-turn

add a systems slot for the tractor beam and that's a ship id love to play

The problem with that statline is that it's an A-wing with an extra attack die.

The TIE avenger is an evolution of the Advanced x1. It's even called TIE advanced, Avenger is the nickname, and replaces the x1 from it's introduction in TIE Fighter through every subsequent release.

It's TIE Fighter depiction doesn't have much in common with the TIE advanced's depiction in X-wing, but bear in mind the Avenger and Defender in TF were Interceptor++ and Interceptor+++++. The Defender was toned down in future releases, but the Avenger didn't get the depiction beyond the flight sims that the Defender got, and thus never got a role redesign like the Defender which became a lightning fast fighter-bomber.

It'd be interesting to see how FFG would differentiate it from a Heavy Interceptor (SU and HU). It'd all come down to the dial.

Imperial: TIE Aggressor (somewhere around 2/3/4/0 with missile, turret and crew cards for 16-18 points base), and/or TIE Droid automated fighters... cheap and PS0, oh yeah :D

Rebel: Not sure really, don't really want another YT and they have all the noteworthy fighters IMO. I could go for Actis/Aethersprites if I had to pick something.

Scum: Hound's Tooth all day.

I think the way to look at this is what does each faction NEED, and what ship will fill that role.

Imperials - need a small base turret OR a slow heavy-hitter like the B-Wing

Rebels - need a ship that could utilize the cloak mechanic

Scum - need a large base turret

to that end, I suggest

Imperials - TIE Aggressor or Gunboat

Rebels - newly invented ship

Scum - YT-2000 with Otana title

Raven's Claw for the Rebels! First 0 attack small base ship. Make it so bad that the HWK looks good so that people will buy HWKs, but put upgrade cards in it that everyone wants so people will buy it still!

I don't feel much love from cheaper end of the scum generics (Z-95 and Y-wing, very rarely cartel/viper).

the ones that can't roll are stiff and the ones that can are far too squishy. Makes me yearn for Tie Fighters and B-wings every time :(

Scum's fat ships are the firesprays and aggressors, and they don't need any more

But in all seriousness...why do the rebels need cloaking? That's like the ONLY ability/slot that only the empire has...

I'm hoping for a large base ship with multiple crew (or possibly a crew plus a droid slot) and the turret upgrade slot. It would be unique, sort of an inverse of the generic YT-2400 really. A firepower 3 forward arc and 360 ICT or Autoblaster turret would allow for very different ways of playing the same ship.

I understand with the anti large base turret but with both Rebel and Empire having a ship with that option it only makes sense to even the playing field and give S&V at least one to play around with.

Besides the YT-2000 is such an awesome ship

Imperals: Scimitar Bomber, Tie Hunter

Scum: Skipray Blastboat, Preybird

Rebels: VCX-100 and its shuttle, past that I'm perfectly content with what they've got... Except, you know. Not having Emon Azameen. That's just not cool. Oh, and the N1.
Empire: I'd love to see the TIE Adv V1 and the Gozanti, and after that I'm good.
Scum: Oh boy. Where do I begin? ARC-170, Droid Starfighters, The YT-2000, I could really go on and on here.

Not really bothered about other factions, but I'd love the Empire to get a TIE Avenger - the fact that they're basically heavy interceptors would make them amazing to play with

Rebels and Imperials: no new ships for wave 7. I'd like to see stuff for existing ships, more pilots for the Y-wing and Tie Bomber, title cards to tweak the X-wing, upgrades to improve missiles and torpedoes in standard play, that sort of thing. I suspect though that sort of thing is more likely to appear in an Aces type release than a new wave.

Scum: Kimogila or Dunelizard or one of the ships from the same range as the Scyk.

Rebels: VCX-100(Ghost)

Imperials: Shadow Droid

Scum: Minstrel Yacht(Star Jewel)
