What ships do you want to see most for each faction?

No it does not cloak it's just got a low radar profile.

Well... a cloak gives you a low radar profile? :P

Cloak makes you invisible either to sensors or in the case of the phantom visual detection aswell, getting an extra agility reflects it's increased difficulty to detect, but they reduced it's firepower and removed a torpedo launcher to do that.

The gun boat would be our Y-wing, loads of hull a few shields and a slow turner.

so basically a Lambda shuttle then ?

and isn't the Bomber the Imperial Y-Wing already?

Not really it lacks alot of the options the y-wing presents such as carrying a cannon and using astromechs, they can both fire torpedoes and bombs but there the similarity ends.

I'm trolling you... just fyi....

I am part of the minority that desperately wants to see a K-Wing. I want to load it up with a bunch of really useless ordnance in a fun home-game and blast some TIE's for days.

Scum: YT-2000, Skipray Blastboat (which could easily be Imperial/Scum)

Assault Gunboat probably could be something between an X-wing and Bwing:

- 3 attack dices

- 2 defense dices

- 3 hull

- 2 or 3 shields shields

- Cannon Slot

- Systems Slot

- Maybe boost action?

Generic PS 2 about 25 points?

Boost makes no sense...that ship was slow as all hell. I don't think it should have br either as it was far from maneuverable...the cannon makes sense as does the system...but I would give it 4 hill at least...unlike the the fighter and the interceptor this thing could take hill damage and keep going...I'd say 4 hull 3 Shields and increase the cost to 27 to 28...don't want to make the defender less palatable...(not that I follow the groupthink regarding the defender...)

I have no idea why people want the Skipray and Assault Gunboat. The Skipray is just a hideous piece of garbage and the Assault Gunboat doesn't even look like an Imperial ship, not to mention that its pretty much obsolete with TIE Bombers in their arsenal. It's like a baby Lambda that should be shunned from the family because it doesn't belong. As for Scum, the Jumpmaster, Hound's Tooth and Mist Hunter look horrendous. How could you want those ugly ships in the game? Not even the HWK looks that bad.

I'm just talking looks, though. Whatever they offer to the game I'm up for, but **** I will be disappointed if they bring in those models. Don't even get me started on the Scimitar and K-Wing...

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Assault Gunboat has a cannon and shields, maybe a sensor, so really isn't made obsolete. Just different. Like a B wing.

The Assault Gunboat would be a cannon-carrier that is cheaper than the Defender and faster than the Lambda. I'd give it stats like this:

Attack: 2

Agility: 2

Hull: 3

Shields: 2

Actions: Focus, Target Lock

Slots: Cannon, Missile

Cost: 18+

Dial: Same as the Y-Wing dial but with the green 1-banks that the X-Wing has

For S&V I'd like to see the Ghtroc 720 (2/1/5/3 focus & target lock) with Platt Okeefe as the top pilot, a Brentaal Princess title card (adds 1 to the primary armament and a torpedo slot) and B-0B crew (repair related ability) that included a card to run Platt on a YT1300 and a Last Chance title card for said YT. For the Rebels a captured Lambda with Chewy as one of the pilot options. Not really sure for the Empire, pretty much everything good is there already unless they went a bit Armada on us and did a Space Trooper squad. Not really sure how the mechanics would work though.

The Bomber's an ordnance carrier. The Assault Gunboat is more of a heavy fighter, kinda like a B-wing. Its role is much like what FFG's making the x1 into: a long range fighter capable of operating far from home base.

Right - so why would we need a gunboat when we already have the TIE Advanced filling that niche - and the Defender in the role of hard-hitting cannon platform ?

I want to like the Gunboat, and due to its popularity alone I think it's a strong contender for a new wave addition in the future - but every suggestion for where it would fit just makes it sound like a ship we've already got

Can someone give me the stats/numbers on a Tie Avenger that wouldn't step on the toes of the Tie Advanced or Defender, or not be just a Tie Interceptor with a SU?

I just don't see a design space for it in the Imperial arsenal.

The Avenger doesn't really have anything in common with the Advanced. It's more like a cross between the Interceptor and Defender. Its biggest assets are its agility and firepower. I could see the Avenger being something like this:

Attack: 3

Agility: 3 (maybe even 4)

Hull: 2

Shields: 2

Actions: Focus, Target Lock, Evade, Boost

Slots: Missile

Cost: 25+

Dial: Same as the Interceptor dial but with 3-segnor loops instead of the 3 k-turn

Wasn't the Avenger just a modified version of Vader's Advanced? I think it has a lot in common with the Advanced.

Those stats make sense but are you really going to take a generic at 25 points over a RGP w/ PTL? Or bring out a named Tie Advanced pilot? It would be just another option in the 25-33 point range which the Empire has a lot already. You are going to make the Defender even more obsolete.

4 agility would be nuts as a stat stock.
