Panning shot stitched panorama.
This reminded me of Taris from SW:TOR (that place is covered in wrecked and crashed ships).

Wasn't there a mission in Empire at War ground game that had Star Destroyers all over the place?

on a more relevant post than all this trailer nonsense...hang on a sec...
OK finished watching it for the fifth time. I have some time before I NEED to watch it again...
OK...
has anyone heard about what's at the FFG booth?
Turreted Tie?
I'm amazed that NO ONE seems surprised by these white panel TIE fighters.
Turreted Tie?
The mystery tie has some extra cog looking things at the panel base. Maybe its an ugly har har

Best guess so far is the TIE/gt

Wait, I was thinking of the turret, but there's no cogs on this one.

It is so much fun seeing the exact same posts in three different threads on two different forums on the same web site ![]()
We are excited aren't we. ![]()

RIP old X-Wing (you can tell by the elongated wings, and obviously from the size and shape.) I wonder what FFG will do, New X-Wing models, but what happens to the old ones?

Seems a bit counter-intuitive to have white solar panels, but I'm no scientist...

but then there's the blood stripes and logos people paint on their miniatures, never thought of it as obstructive before.

Nothing official really states that they're solar panels, though. That's just a widely-accepted idea

Its the fact that darker colors absorb sunlight thing...
So are there no A,B,Y-wings anymore? Interceptors, Bombers, or even a Defender?
It would be sad not to see those ships.

And the fact that it is science fiction and the craft act like atmospheric fighters in no gravity. I doubt that really is an issue.

Not arguing, we all know SW is more fantasy than sci-fi...but still...light-shaded solar panels?

It is very counter-intuitive to everything I know about light waves, but then again chrome tinted windows look like mirrors and you wouldn't expect to see through them from the other side. If they are solar panels they can make up something that explains how they can be white and still work as solar panels.
I just want a star map that's the interior of a crashed Star Destroyer.

I read somewhere that the TIE's 'wings' are not so much solar panels as heat radiators to get rid of the excess heat that their engines produce. I think it was in the cross-sections book.
