Hey guys!

Have just picked up the latest copy of the UK edition of White Dwarf, and there is a good suggestion that FFG might actually be there.

On the Games day map there is a long dection called 'Licensed partners', and within the text contained on the same page there is a passage which mentions many of their licensed partners will be there to display their boardgames (and pc games) based on the Warhammer and 40K universes.

Ok so its not conrete evidence, but certainly a hint potentially.

Either way, I'm packing enough money for 3 bases sets just in case

Yeah AFAIK no other company has teh RIGHTS to make board games on warhammer, other than FFG (the video game's could be many though, like Mythic / Warhammer MMO, which if you haven't tried yet, or had someone explain it to you in person while they play it, you should!)

I am wondering if GW will also allow WI in their stores.

Would be a good place to find some people to play.

All MMOs have population well-being in their beginnings. Then they all take a bit of a dive. It is only a few that survive, with frequent content updates, throughout a few years. (IIRC from my limited MMO experiences).

(PS BTW population matters not if your servers pop is decent for what you want to do. last I checked there weere/are several servers where there is RvR activity all the time in at least one or more zones, some public quests being done or people willing to do them (sometimes you have to be the initiator, leader, you know?) in pretty much every other chapter, and scenarios popping somewhat regularly)

I know for a fact that my stores manager wouldn't mind, as I have been a loyal customer for years and have brought thousands of pounds of product in that time.

The fact that I will buy more and encourage people to shop there would be the reason he won't have a problem with it.....

but as ChaosChild suggests, this may not be the case with your local store, and it certainly wont be company policy.

GW has a massive downer on anything that isn't toy soldiers being played in the stores, as Rob said, they wouldn't even entertain WarCry or Dark Millennium when it was one of their companies making it!!

Returning to topic, as far as I know, and this will need a bit of confirming, Esdevium will be demoing some of the FFG games at Games Day. This still needs to be confirmed, it is in no way 100% certain that it is happening or what will be there game wise, but that have been the mutterings so far.

Bah. Now I understand their reputation better.

I couldn't agree more with the comments about playing in GW stores - even after several years working there when the Manager and several other staff members played WarCry we only ever managed to play once we could lock the doors.

I must admit that I had assumed the board game reference in WD would be Space Hulk...

Just my €0.02.

Might actually think about picking up a ticket (or would be happy to work it as we got a great reception there in the old days with Sabertooth games) if I can play some cards as well.

FFG will be demoing Warhammer Invasion at Games Day, no word as to wether it will be on sale or not, I'd go with not.

any chance that someone can grab one more box at GD, and then sell it to me?

As soon as I know what is what I will sort teh details. At the minute I only have 12 on order for the shop, if it is on sale that will probably do for starters, if it isn't I will up the preorder............
