Hi there, I'm an Englishman living in China for the next few weeks, I've never played a pen-and-paper RPG before (I play WH40k though) and think it looks rather interesting, I was wondering if anyone on this site lives in Beijing/knows of any gaming groups there. Any help much appreciated. Also, is there anyway to efficiently find people for this sort of thing? This website has a 'friend finder' that seems to only apply to the USA.

I think you're likely to have the same problem as me. I'm an American in Russia, and am stuck doing online games.

I do actually have a friend (an American) in Sunzhou. I'll ask him.

Good God man you are St. Francis Xavier of gaming! You could be bringing them the light of RPGs...Find some local group and please tell us what are they playing! I know that in Japan there is huge RPG market dominated by indigenous games.

I'm in no position to bring anyone the light of RPGs actually, it's me who is looking for the aforementioned light. The problem being, I don't know much Chinese, there are 300k foreigners in China, which equates to about one english-speaking person interested in RPGs (and I'm worried that one person may be me)

true there is nothing quite like sitting around with your mates preteding to be a group of zelous acolytes of te imperium!! though i never played dark heresey before I GM'd it, most of the game i improvise for, its good fun. id recomend looking to people yu know first though
