Today I picked up my SW:Armada SSD.

As you can see it's not as unplayable as some members thought it would be.

One of these days I'd like to see a troll that is so convincing it makes FFG employees even pause.

I know there are some really great SSD models out there and in convincing scales to the Armada stuff. All that needs to happen is a savvy Graphic Designer who knows his stuff modify one of the spoiler templates into something new and exciting to get the community fired up and outraged.

...this is at leas the second time the lego SSD has been referenced for Super Star Destroyers, so *shrug*

I wanted that Millenium falcon kit, people are selling it for 3 grand now. I don't want it THAT badly. Oh, and the SSD is out of scale, it comes with a mini ISD that is half the size of the victory.

Apparently the original plan for the SSD was to take the standard imperial model and paint it blue and scale it bigger on screen. They quickly realized that it wouldn't work for reshoots and scaling, so the SSD was created despite budgetary limitations.

When the wife and I went to see Guardians of The Galaxy, they teased the new Star Wars / Disney's ownership of the franchise. They used the music from Star Lord's mix tape. It actually sounded really good.
