I think it is the publisher. No offence to FFG but regular bookshops like Borders or Waterstones already had books from Black Library so it was no real problem for them to add these items to their stock and bookshelves next to the WH40K novels.

FFG on the other hand doesn't appear to have the same relationship with the book sellers. They do the FFG stuff as a special order.

So I would say the hassle of getting the DotDG was just a slight downside of the move from BL to FFG.

Never pre-order from Amazon...wait until it is actually released. They've been that way with pre-order for several years now.

Ok, latest from Norway. The shop is awaiting shipment from their dealer in Denmark. They must thereafter send it to me by mail... Now, if it arrives today without heretical incidents I might get it by Christmas, if not, well... a lot of mutants are going down to say it plainly.

Well I just may have credited Amazon UK with too much efficiency, a few days after I stated it would soon be with me the order still says:

Delivery #1: Dispatching Soon

We are preparing these items for dispatch and this part of your order cannot be cancelled or changed. Need information on returning an item ?

I still believe that they wouldn't put that as the status unless it was in some sort of stage where it is ready to be loaded onto a truck but God knows when I will get it.

Pre-ordered my copy in September.

My bookstore has ordered it through Diamond, apparently... and they've been informed that it is temporarily unable to be ordered... I'm being told it might be shipped after Christmas. I've also been told I can get a refund and they will try and order it again after the holidays.

I cannot be the only one who thinks that this is hardly a solution that makes any sense.

In response to the waterstones comments I got mine from there yesterday and there was at least one spare so I don't think they have problems ordering from ffg (by the way I come from a smallish town so one spare is more than it sounds). They had tried to hide it though I was very dissapointed when I looked at the rp shelf (Yes that small a town ) but did manage to find it on the shelf above.

I think the main issue seemed to be a confusion on release dates I've seen stores claiming about a whole week of different dates

I didn`t get a phone call yesterday (big surprise? NO!) That means that I will not be getting my precious for Christmas... Now, I wonder, why is it so hard to get this Scheisse to get in ordnung ?

They have a expected arrival date of the 27th Decemebr but I think they are just covering themselves due it being Christmas just in case I am someone who is giving it as a gift; I think there is a good chance it will be here by Christmas Eve.

So unless I don't get it I am ducking out of this thread, good luck to all those trying to get a copy.

My local comic book stores, Forbidden planet and Travelling man in newcastle got a shipment in last week, i managed to ninja the last copy from Forbidden planet, so they are around.

Wasnthere today, perhaps Monday. Ho hum.

looks like mine got intercepted by warpish setbacks once again: out of the three items I ordered I ordered to Noble Knights, I only received Face of Battle, which is meager compensation for DotDG.

Well I didnt get DotDG, but I did receive other packages of things I ordered, like Commissar Fury's right arm, a copy of M&M Crooks, a Dark Eldar painted Raider, some Space Marine bits and some dice. But Id send them all back for that **** evil book.
