Disciples of the Dark Gods? Any new news?

By Peacekeeper_b, in Dark Heresy

My copy was supposed to arrive from Amazon.ca last Thursday.

It got lost in the mail sad.gif.

I hate this time of year.

Technically, casualties and fatalities are different things. If you are a casualty, it means you can't fight any more, but arne't necessarily dead. If you are a fatality, you are for reals dead.

That being said: I'm going to pee myself if I don't get a copy of this book soon.

I'm not sure you read that post correctly.

Very fine difference in spelling between casualty and causality.gui%C3%B1o.gif

For those in Scotland, West coast. Static Games in Glasgow (near the Tron Theatre) had 5 copies on Friday. Mines was an xmas present so I may not get to read it until the 26th - **** you santa -**** YOU happy.gif

Picked up my copy on Saturday from Forbidden Planet in Newcastle (England).

It's a really excellent book, and in my opinion definately worth it's high price tag. I'm reading it gradually, a section at a time so I can properly appreciate all the coolness!

I realize I brush up against exageration here, but DotDG is the best RPG supplement I've ever read. Bar None and I've been reading them since 1982.

It deepens my understanding of the 40K universe, heightens my excitement of our campaign re-launch and is making my players quake in fear of what's to come.

Bring on Creatures Anathema... I can't wait!

Its good news, bad news time. Good news I have a package slip in my post office box. Bad news is, I wasnt able to go to the post office until after they closed and wont get back there till wednesday at the earliest.

**** army training.

Aha! That, I must say, changes everything.

And yes, I am still going to freak out of this book doesn't end up in my hands soon. Also, Creatures Anathema needs to hurry up and come out, as well.

Also, it needs to be next year and Rogue Trader needs to be out.

Well, at least you know that it is almost within your graps for certain. I can't seem to get a straight answer through my bookseller. hmmm, I wonder if junkies ever have to go through this sort of thing with their dealers... Now THAT could make for an interesting adventure hook. After cracking down on a dealer of heretical and forbidden texts, the acolytes are betrayed by one of their own who is an information addict (a la Aemos)... Just a passing random thought.

Thats if the package is the book. It could be miniatures, bills (lots if its a package) or something else.

But for the sake of everyone who works at that post office, it best be my book or Ill show them a dark god.

I'll personnally contribute a holocaust of fiery skulls to the cause.

Ha! Got it! It's so bee-yoo-teeful.

I shall now put forth a motion to our planetary Governor to conscript one thousand virgins for the ranks of the Adepta Sororitas, and to burn one thousand mutant factory workers alive in a giant pit in praise of the Throne of Terra.

Ave Imperator!

Just got mine on Friday.

Was distributed to my FLGS via Esdevium.

Late reporting it I know, but was busy reading.

I find myself in agreement with Jephkay in regards to the quality of its content.

a solid, informative, detailed and above all else inspirational book.

Damned good stuff.

It's tempting to rant and gossip about the contents, but I won't.

I'd like you to be as blown away by it as I was. :)

Good luck guys, hope you get it soon.

If it made it as far as the Emperor forsaken, heresy ridden hole I call home, then it'll make it to you folks I'm sure.

I received my copy twenty minutes ago.

I got mine on friday.

Ive been too busy reading it too post.

Its beyond "office chair mighty"

Thank you FFG!

For those keeping tabs. My package at the mail room was not DotDG instead it was my horde of stuff I ordered from FFG during their big sale.

Ironic I think.

Not exactly the definition of irony, but I get what you mean.

I will be ordering this bad boy with my Christmas bonus, which I refuse to use in a responsible manner!

Thank you Leisure Games; my copy arrived todaygran_risa.gif

And I will echo other posters here - it is a beautiful book with some very impressive stuff inside.

Now, where do I sign up for the "I need Creatures Anathaema book NOW!!!" society???

Looks like Amazon UK are getting their act together; DoTDG is now showing as in stock and my order has just been updated as 'dispatching soon', which means in the next 24 hours it should be on its way to me.

Just checked Amazon UK and I'm not impressed one **** bit.

We've had it on pre-order for 2 months and have been told it will be delivered between the 6th and 15th of January...

...yet according to the entry on Amazon, "If you order in the next 22 hours and choose express delivery, you'll receive it by Thursday the 18th of December".

So if you PRE-order you'll get it one month AFTER someone who simply orders it tonight?

It's safe to say I won't be using Amazon again after this.

That's exactly it. Here I thought DotDG would be an isolated case (and thank The Emperor, it's on its way to my mailbox thanks to another retailer).

But today Amazon UK sent me an email delaying Scum & Villainy, the latest Star Wars Saga supplement, which I preordered last August, putting it off to the end of January / early February, and which also now shows as 'out-of-stock'... WotC released it one month ago...

As a result, another pre-order cancelled, along with the one I had placed for Creature Anathema, that I'll be sure to buy from a more reliable supplier.

And I'll do my best to divert and unleash a Tyranid Hive Fleet or two unto Amazon (sorry, I'm a bit into Ciaphas Cain's 'Duty Calls' at the moment)

I can't get my head around it. I thought it may have been rpg's in general, but I remember ordering the Force Unleashed Campaign Guide from Amazon UK and got it promptly enough.

They're getting beyond a joke.

In my experience Amazon is great for browsing around buying products on a whim, but if I REALLY want to get it day one I talk to the guys at the comic shop by my house and they bug their distributor about it.

I was lucky enough to find a single copy at my local game store and they told me they wouldn't be getting more in for few weeks. I had a rather bad run-in with Amazon a while ago where I had to order a book for a course for a class I was taking and dropped a large hunk of cash so I could get it within the next few days so I could do my work, lo and behold, it did not show up for three weeks.

I hope you guys get your copies soon if you haven't yet!

You better all hope that I`ll get mine soon, or this planet will be designated for Terminatus!

If I can`t have it, NONE SHALL.... AAAHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA.....HAHA....HAha... ha... hoho....errmm... *sniff*

Bye then happy.gif
