What I really am longing for is a new expansion for TI3. There is so much more you can add to this game: New races, new strategy cards, new planets, new red-bordered systems, new technologies. Even some new units for ground combat or new abilities for the old units.

FFG is what it is today because of TI1, so for the fan-base, a little "thank you" in form of a new expansion would be very welcome.

I agree. I'd like to see a more detailed combat game, with both ground and space combat, perhaps planetary invasion, maybe on a scale of Tide of Iron. Or even a more tactical Tannhauser-type game with space combat on one side of the board and ground combat between individual alien soldiers/commando teams on the other.

If I dare be so bold as to suggest: A revision of the TechnologyProduction system. Something along the lines of considering certein Unit technologies (Hylar, Deep Space, XRD) to work more like attacheable modules that increase the production cost of certein units and are adjustable and dynamic.

Agree, it's about time for a new TI3 expansion.
After that's done, it would be nice to focus on TOI again, a bit atleast.
