FFGs customer service

When I got Armada, everything was great... except my Star Destroyer was missing a shield generator. It was hardly noticeable, and didn't affect gameplay, so I didn't mind too much. I was worried that to get a new one, I'd have to mail back my broken one, which would be a pain.

Thankfully, a friend insisted I at least contact them about it. So, I filled out a form on the site, giving them nothing but my name, address and a picture of my star destroyer with its missing generator. They got back to me the next day, and a week and a half later, I have a new star destroyer model =D

I'm really happy about it, and I just wanted to say thanks to FFG =]

A whole model? Bitchin'.

... I'm missing mine, too.... :P

Anyway, that is some rockin' customer service.

Yet no wash on a ship is within their QC limits :(

A wash is a one minute fix. To construct a shield generator is not possible for most people.

FFG customer service has always been exemplary in my experience.

Irrelevant if its easy to fix, a wash is still an unfinished model. If you had the decorator in and he left without glossing the front door, would you do it yourself after already paying somebody to do it? Don't thinks so. This is just down to poor QC standards.

Really nice work on the part of ffg.

Now you have 2 destroyers to use! :)

Major your analogy is flawed. First of all these models are manufactured on a mass scale, so there are literally tens of thousands going through factories in China being painted by a laborer making 25 cents an hour. If I had hired a contractor who was specifically working on my house and they left work undone then of course I would call them on it and make them return to fix it. I've never seen a product that is mass produced that I would say was perfect, its just not possible. We all need to have a realistic expectation of what to expect and not a 100% perfect product. We would all be paying $300 for a core set if we want that kind of quality.

You not liking how the Neb looks does not mean that isn't what it was suppose to look like.

You not liking how the Neb looks does not mean that isn't what it was suppose to look like.

Neither does it have anything to do with the OP.

FFG customer service has built a reputation for outstanding response times and a level of service with which few can fairly find fault. The replacement of a damaged Victory fits well within the scope of this service.

As I understand it, that's what the OP intended to convey.

There are at least two other threads which address disappointment with the look of the Rebels ships.

A fellow player of mine received one of his Aggressors (FFG X-Wing ship) partially unpainted. I took at look at it, went "I'll trade you one of my own for that!" (The scale of my visual artistic abilities would rattle inside a thimble; I would screw up trying to paint a wall. : ) Now we're both happy: he has completed models, and I have two ships that are visually distinct from each other, without having to pay someone to paint them.

My point is, if it's just a paint problem...you might find someone like me who would be willing to straight-up trade a completed model, just because it looks different!

Also, yes, my own experience with FFG customer service is on the "Wow, really? Hey, thanks!" very-happy-customer level.

And yet your skills at painting, going by this description, outshine and eclipse mine.

I also recived a bad VSD. It was bent upwards towards the front, so I contacted them about it. I got a new one, without any hassel at all. Also got a some new stands for the small ships, since they were damaged.

FFG's customer services has always been excellent. I my experince, they always send you replacement when you ask for it.

I've been super impressed with my dealings with FFG's customer service. Fast, courteous, and solved my problems (in both cases missing parts). Can't really ask for much more than that. Top notch!
