Ugh...I'm really sick of Torn Hero. It was created in an era where busted-ass committal was everywhere.

I understand we're getting a lot of Stun cards nowadays, but still, Torn Hero is much too much a deturrent.

blah...=/

I would say that there is to much commital from this stun era. Lots of attacks have stuns which do more lockdown then some control deck. There needs to be something that limits stuns or else people will just play heavy stun decks.

I really don't see the problem with heavy stun decks. To me, that would show an improvement in the game, not a problem. Stuns only come on Attacks, and are only usable when you attack. That means that instead of this massive defense-control game, you have a more offensive game, pitting defense and building against heavy offense that wittles away at your support. And its not like Stun can target at all. You get to decide what gets committed. You may not like it, but it does not stop you from using the other fondations that are in play.

It will not be long before we see the Paul Pheonix All Stun deck, and there is little that can be done to completely stop that. But it will be a challenge to build a deck that competes against it, and that is an itegral part of a good design. The lack of Stun cancels/prevention only increases the possible deck types that can be built and played.
