My friends and I were discussing how it would be cool if the ancient ones had backstories, similar to the investigators that explained what they were all about and their bio. I'm gonna start this thread for ancient one backstories so please post any info you have on the ancient ones

Web searches tend to leave out info on some of the more obscure ancient ones. Mainly those not created by Lovecraft.

Go up to the off topic section. As Dam mentions, Victimizer has a thread there for any questions about the mythos as it relates to the game. I think Victimizer just wants to show off the fact that he has an actual copy of the Necronomicon which has caused his mind to be filled with the minutia of the mythos. lose 2 sanity, Victimizer! 
and here I thought the OP meant a version of "personal stories' for the big nasties
how could would it be for cthulu to have something like this:
Pass: If two investigators are reduced to zero sanity before reaching 6 doom tokens. Increase the stat penalty from -1 to -2 for both stamina and sanity.
Fail: remove a doom token.

you're right, it should be Pass: If any Investigator is reduced to zero sanity before the doom track reaches 6 tokens, then all investigators have their max stamina/sanity reduced by 2 instead of 1.
Fail Option for Cthulu felt fair.
By the way, Victimizer, if you hang around that topic, do you know the book Tsugo quoted and have you read it ? is it any informative at all ? I always thought of buying a book summarizing everything from HP. And I can barely read the author's name but it seems to be "the" famous specialist of HP, right ?

Even if it was "if any investigator reduced to 0 Sanity OR Stamina before doom 6...", it would be a nerf on Cthulhu IMO. Too easy to avoid that, even with Cthulhu's -1 max to both.
