I'm not sure if it has been suggested before, but I think it would be awesome if Fantasy Flight Games could hold a competition where members have to design a card for a Runebound expansion pack. The artwork on the cards is so interesting, and it would be a lot of fun to become actively involved in the creation of this game. I'm sure that many *MANY* members have thought of some hectic creatures that they would love to battle, or weapons that they would like to obtain - this would allow for that expression of creativity. It's also a good way for Fantasy Flight Games to receive some feedback and direction from their fans.

Or we could just post ideas here!

Any ideas for "cheat sheets" to help format various types of cards?

I've shouted out for a long time for Ronan's former sidekick, the weasel, to get not just his own card but an expansion. "Tamalir's Furry Woodland Creatures Gone Wild." But the weasel's attorney has been stalling the negotiations to the weasel's image.

A fan-inspired contest OF ANY SORT would be awesome for RB, but a humble little card would be a nice starting point.

Fan work is quite prevalent in the Talisman community, including some of my own. Has there been a release of templates for making cards for Runebound, as there was through Jon New of TalismanIsland.com? If not, and with some kind of approval from FFG , I could make some for community use.

I think brainstorming on this forum is an excellent idea. What type of cards would you guys like to see ? Or themes and so forth...

I personally would love a Undead challenge card deck. I know we have Terrors, but I would like something more focussed on undead creatures. Zombies, Liches, Skeleton Archers, Ghosts, Necromancers etc.

I know there are unofficial templates out there on the web, I just can't remember where right now. Check out Board Game Geeks for some leads. I remember finding a Cthullu challenge card once.

This website contains most of the major card templates for the game and a runebound font which contains the game specific symbols. I've made lots of cards over the years for heroes, monsters, ect., and it is a lot of fun. Many are currently posted over at boardgamegeek.com under the various Runebound pages for the main game and its expansions. I've even been working on some fairly large expansions for Isle of Dread and Midnight, as well as a new heroic trait system that could be used for the main game and any expansion. Like many people who both work and go to school, it takes me a long time to complete such projects, but I am getting very, very close on being done with the Midnight expansion rules and new cards.

I am always interested in new cards for Runebound, so I hope people will post there ideas either here or on boardgamegeek.com (which is often far simpler if you have an account over there).
