Sorry, I was out for the weekend (had an awesome time with a couple of friends coming to visit us from the US! Went to Venice, and had some extreme pizza night in between), who's the winner?

If you had an extreme pizza night, I think YOU won.

I also want to point out how irritating it is that my gmail notifications says something like this:

Tibs,

jlhorner1974 (https://community.fantasyflightgames.com/index.php?/user/231594-jlhorner1974/) has just posted a reply to a topic that you have subscribed to titled "Culture and fun in an Arkhamite's life".

And everything underneath that is obscured. Including, you know, the link directly to the thread in question. I can visit Julia's profile a hundred times but I gotta take an extra step if I want to add to the thread.

(Rant over; been a long day)

Extreme pizza sounds like scaling the walls of St. Peter's church, somersaulting down on the Pope's balcony and then finishing your pizza in three seconds blank before the Swiss Guard carts you off (to the catacombs never to be seen again). But then you were in Venice, so you probably had it while bungy jumping off the Bridge of Sighs ;)

Now I want to join the next Extreme Pizza competition!

EDIT: Apparently, I can't spell correctly unless given a second atemmpt

I don't want to enter a competition, I just want to eat some Venetian pizza. So jealous!

Actually, I'm more afraid that the one that won was the pizza (made too much. Can pizza be too much? I didn't think so until Sunday. Never cooked for 6 persons at the same time, so I went with 5 pounds of flour. A little overwhelming). Final battle was won by the Guinness tiramisu Cat made. Need to go running the whole week...

LOL. As soon as the casino spam stops, we can start some different, pizza-based competitions (know what? I feel like I'm spamming the forum. But I'm blaming Kroen for this, since once we had an off-topic forum we now have no more thanks to him)

Also, Tibs, sorry for the bad day (hug)

Having visited Venice...and having walked across the bridge of sighs...you're not bungy-jumping 18 feet into the water.

Guinness tiramisu? Now I'm not a beer drinker, but that sounds interesting. I'm a real sucker for tiramisu.

What's the matter Professor? A little too Extreme for you? Huh? Huh?

*Shackles himself to bungy harness*

It's child's play. Unless you're... chicken!

*Grips pizza in both hands and flies off the bridge... crashes face first through floor of passing gondola*

Mmffglllublublub!

Borealian,

When it comes to things like bungy-jumping, I describe myself as more of an "indoorsy" person.

Hey, folks,

we got all the spam removed!

OUR FORUM IS BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK!!

So, who's the winner of the competition? How many threads were deleted?

I think this Korean Spam issue has dealt some serious sanity damage to the folks around here...

Yeah it appears that we haven't gotten any new stuff in a number of days.

So I have tallied all the ones we've gotten up to this point. Minus, perhaps, a brief period where I was unsubscribed from the board out of sheer annoyance. For the purposes of this dumb competition, I'm hoping no spam was posted during that period.

Any last-minute guesses?

Considering Lee418 had the highest guess, I'm guessing he/she guessed best, I guess.

I'd like to point out that Lee is a very common name in Korea and that I don't think this was a coincidence. This competition has been rigged from spam one, and I'm not afraid to say it!

OK. Here's what I have down.

5618 spam posts since March 30

One of which is the old "passports"-style chestnut, lol

*drumroll*

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner!

*drumroll*

From the UK with insanity and passion, MR. LEE is awarded of all the goodies in the opening post!

Lee, shortish you'll be contacted by a couple of good, deep friends of us ready to escort you to the beautiful Innsmouth (it's like coming home again!). Prepare the luggage! And enjoy!

Luggage is mostly for moving clothes, right? You're going to Innsmouth. Not gonna need any of that.

Unless of course, Jenny's sister is in there....

I won!

Disclaimer: The uncanny accuracy of my 'guess' and the supposed Korean origins of my name are pure coincidence.

No ...... really.

After sleeving 600 cards tonight in one sitting without a break, I think I deserve my prize of a luxury holiday in Innsmouth. If anyone wants me I'll be staying at the Gilman House, room 428.

I'll send a postcard. Gotta go. The bus is here.

Did you notice it was a one way ticket?

also, the gilman hotel only has 3 floors... how can you be on the 4th??????

The fourth is downstairs...

Because H.P. Lovecraft said so in, The Shadow Over Innsmouth. ;)

Room 428 is the same room that Robert Olmstead stayed in during his ill-fated trip to Innsmouth. It is described as "next to the top" (so there must be at least another floor above as well), and up "three flights of stairs". In America I believe they begin counting floors from the ground floor (1st floor). So up three flights of stairs is the 4th floor.
