Few more questions for you all

By Fel_Dragon, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

1. An encounter offers to move you to a new location, if you go there then you will have another encounter.
My question: if there is a clue token on that new location can you pick it up that turn before or after you are required to have an encounter there?

2. An encounter says to make a Lore(-1) check. If you fail you are to stay on that location next turn.
My questions: is this like being delayed? and would you have another encounter in that location that next turn, since you can't move?

3. A Mythos Card - 4th of July Parade - states that the Merchant Dist. streets are closed and investigators cannot move in or out of them until the end of the next Mythos phase.
My question: can monsters still move in and out of these areas? for example on the next Mythos phase, since this effect will still be resolving until this new Mythos phase ends.

Thanks again in advance, and for your previous help. It's much appreciated.

1. You pick up clues in locations upon ending movement there, or if a clue is placed on your location during the mythos phase. You don't get the clue unless you end your movement there in the movement phase. Just remember that you don't pick up clues during the encounters phase.

2. Stay here next turn = delayed.

3. Not sure about the interactions between closed areas and monsters, but I don't think this mythos card actually "closes" (which is a technical term in AH) the street. If it did, it would kick out any player in it. I would say that monsters are free to move into the street.

For these questions, especially two & three, I recommend you read (sorry if you already did) the FaQs and rules of ALL the AH games, even the ones you don't own - you can find that on the Support Page of AH. I personnaly had read the 7 games rules before even owning more than the original box - it helps a lot. And I couldn't help, anyway. I always do that. Reading game's rules is actually already playing it in a way. I mean, I already know the rules of games like Tide of Iron or Tannhauser, but I don't even own them ! (just you wait...) That was my personnal advice, cheers !
