How WAS Legacy Worlds?

By Wafflecopter2, in UFS General Discussion

I haven't read squat about it, only that a couple people over in Deckbuilding think Legacy is fun... I'm wondering how the competition actually was :b

How many people showed up? Any diversity issues? Did it getting scheduled around the Team event screw it up? What did Top 8 look like (I hear the Most Metal Deck ever fronting Night Terror was Swiss Champ? Awesome)? How many Absurd Strengths were played, on average, in each game? etc

No offense to antigoth, but that was totally a non metal deck yo. Lord Raptor off Chaos >>>>>>>>>> way more metal than that.

It was 11 people that played Legacy, I think it was KawaiiMistress and Antigoth that were the finals, can't remember exactly. After Scott got SOL staring down 2 emptinesses after 2nd turn ever game in the Semis, I lost interest.

There was actually 18 people that were in legacy worlds. I got 2nd place but lost to a heavy heavy control Tycho deck.

I don't know about how many absurd strengths were ran but I had 4 in my deck and I'm willing to bet that if someone was running a deck with those 3 symbols they are probably packing 4 absurds.

There were quite a few Ibukis at worlds though...more than I would have expected. I know someone started with Zi Mei and then sided into Ibuki to avoid diversity issues.

The top 4 legacy decks were...

1) Tycho

2) Promo Rock

3) Night Terror

4) Ukyo

*Sigh* I am so sad I didn't get to play in it this year oh well there's always next year. Kind of suprised at the top 4 for legacy though...

Remember - I was going for the "Most Evil, Brutal, Metal Deck"

Not "The Most Glam Metal Deck ever"

I was going for more Dethklok metal then Snakes and Barrels Metal.

The Hate that is Night Terror was more then metal enough.

Besides - the Chaos/Death Lord Raptor build that I had couldn't win a game Vs. Arch's Ukyo. That was a pretty telling sign.

Making the Top 4, and loosing to an "Accident" that was a Brutal and Bitter - yet some how metal end to it all.

Legacy was fun, my teammate ryan robbed me, darn emptiness and me not drawing infiltrating for the life of me game one. then game 2 i fail the infiltrating :( oh well, next time. absurd is in alot of decks in legacy but not all of them.

legacy is so amazing. so many symbols have a chance to win, every symbol almost is good at being built for the quick game or the long game. it's the most fun you can have in ufs.

5th place - Adon (yours truly, Reversaling those Suzaku!).

Sadly didn't happen in tourny, but Adon v Ukyo is hilarious!
