King and Queen

By Essus, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

Hey guys, have what is probably a basic question. I have the core set and a handfull of chapter packs, and some of my cards have abilities that depend upon whether you have a queen/king character. How is this determined? Does it have to do with the Crown Reagent title?

Thanks in advance!

All characters have at least one trait. They are printed in bold, italic type right underneath the picture at the top of the text box. Essentially, you determine if you have a King or Queen the same way you determine if you have a Lord, Army or Direwolf.

Ah, ok. I guess I just don't happen to have any characters with the King or Queen trait and thought maybe it worked differently. Thanks for helping me out!

There is one Queen in the Core Set (Danaerys). There are some Kings and Queens here and there in the Ravens packs, but it is understandably not a common trait. There are a bunch (one for each House) in the "Kings of the Sea" expansion.

there are 3 queens and 3 kings in the A Time for Ravens Packs. Queens = Alanys Greyjoy, Jayne Westerling, and Selyse Baratheon. Kings = Renely Baratheon, Tommen Baratheon and Mance Rayder

There is one 1 King in the Clash of Arms Packs, he is Rhaegar Targaryen.

So far there is 1 Queen and 1 king in the King Landing packs. Queen = Cersei Lannister. King = Robert Baratheon.

The Kings of the sea Expansion box has 5 kings and 1 queen. Queen = Myrcella Lannister (nee baratheon :P ). Kings = Robert baratheon, Robb Stark, Viserys, Joffery Baratheron, and of course Balon Greyjoy.
