Question. the tech reads. "All of your destroyers recieve =2 and roll 1 additional die on all anti-fighter barrage rolls.

Does this mean they need to roll a 7 to hit only during anti-fighter barrage and normal combat they still have to roll a 9

Or

does this mean anytime they are participating in a battle they only have to roll a 7?

If you cover up the additional die and anti-fighter barrage bit, the sentence would be "All of your destroyers receive +2". +2 what? The "+2" only makes sense when coupled with something to say what the +2 applies to; by itself it means nothing. If it applied to all combat rolls, it would say "+2 to combat rolls".

Thus, the only context given in the sentence is "anti-fighter barrage rolls". As such, the +2 only applys to AFB. In other combat, it does not apply.

It should be noted, though, that in normal battle, a Destroyer with ADT will, by default, hit on an 8, not the normal 9, because if they have ADT, they have to have Hylar V Assault Lasers first
