Can I combine it with demon taint? I know I can with the combat knife, don't know if it works with all hand to hand or just combat knife.

From what I understand, it's the other way around. You CAN use it with Demon Taint, but NOT in combination with the Combat Knife. This is in line with the bonus token rule that states they can't replace Special Items.

That's exactly what I said: you can't use it with the Combat Knife, you can use it with Demon Taint.

Demon Taint is excluded from the stipulation about starting with 1 HtH weapon.

If you find a HtH weapon later (crates,dropped) in the game you can also use it if you have the Zuckermensh.

Zuckermensh refers to the horror film Candyman where you have to call his name 5 times. Thus the flavor text of: Stosstruppen... Stosstruppen... Stosstruppen... Stosstruppen... Stosstruppen. The villain had a big hook for a hand.
