7 and 8 player variant

By duckforceone, in Battlestar Galactica

here's how i'm thinking you can play with 7 or 8 players.

First, it would be easiest if you made your own cards, or used a normal card deck.

But if you want to use those included in the game, here's what to do.

7 players.

use all the 11, you are not a cylon cards.

Include 3 cylon cards.

Players are restricted to chose only either baltar or boomer.

If either character is included, use the sympathizer card, which then counts as a "you are not a cylon card"

8 players

Use all the 11, you are not a cylon cards

Include 3 cylon cards.

Include the sympathizer card

Players cannot chose boomer or baltar

mark the last cylon card, and use it as "you are not a cylon card"

this is the way to play 7 or 8 characters, without making your own cards.

Now if you can make your own cards, just make the following cards

14 - You are not a cylon, cards
4 - Cylon cards
1 - Sympathizer card

This makes you able to play all characters, and keep the balance according to cylon - human ratio of the standard game.

Has this been playtested?

I am going to a convention in the spring, and I will see if I can test these rules

(mind you, it's not the rules above as such... its the game "as is", with additional players that needs testing.)

I problem in the first place, is that you need at least 5 to make the game really good!
