Thats my point. This isnt MY WFRP!

Sure it is! It's still your old, bloody, gutty, perilous warhammer-world! You can still kill, mutilate and **** every PC/NPC in it! You can steal, plunder and murder! Only the cover is more shiney now... happy.gif

It is the warhammer-world but not the FRP as we know it!

And how many said that when v2 came out? Don't get me wrong, I also would have liked the continuation of v2, just because when BI took the helm I thought this is the chance to get the system complete. Well, it got 'completer'. And when the rumours about v3 started, I was one of the guys who yelled, " well, v2.5 may be ok, but no v3! No! Never! !". But the presentation clips got me hooked. And now I begin to think I'm the only one defending the new system...

There are plenty of us willing to give the new system a chance. There are still doubts - I'm particularly interested to see what the first 40 careers will be and how flexible individual careers are. I think the party tension meter is more trouble that it's worth, but otherwise I don't see a problem with the party sheet. The dice pool system looks really good. The Wound system looks leaps and bounds better than that of v1 and v2.

In short:

Some people will hate it because:

- They dislike the system changes

- Because they want more content/continuation of the previous system

- Because they're judgemental and won't give it a change

- Don't want to invest in a new version

- Are sceptic about the effects longterm or short term of system aids

------

While others will:

- Love the idea of game aids as it makes things easier

- Will be newcomers more easily drawn in

- Find the changes pleasant

- Will find it a fresh start or are newcomers that hesitated to get in

- Find it good value for money

Calm down, my friend. There's no need for defending! What should be attacked? Rumors and conclusions (because we haven't seen the final product!). As I wrote in a different thread: wait and see.

And you are not alone in this great, great world. There are many other guys being in excited expectation babeo.gif

But they try to have a neutral (too light positiv) point of view.

Sorry for the third post in a row BUT

Since the quoted post there's always a song in my mind:

R.E.M. - "It's the end of the world as we know it ..."

an omen??? sorpresa.gif
