Reading the answers to past questions, I think I have the right answer but I just wanna make sure.

If a Mythos card says that a gate opens in the Woods, for instance, and the further resolving the Mythos card states that all monsters in the Uptown Streets and Locations are returned to the cup, does the spawned monster in the woods go back to the cup as well?

Looking at previos answers I'd say, no it stays....can anyone help?

The effect of the card comes last, so I say it should remove the newcoming monster. Since the monster appears first THEN the card's effect happens.

If the monster is still at Woods or Uptown Streets when you get to last step of the Mythos phase (step 4, Activate Mythos Ability), it goes back to the cup. The movement symbols on the card make it possible that a Fast (Red-border) or Flyer (Blue) move to a spot where they are out of the area of effect of the Mythos text.
