2 questions so we can be sure..:

1) I have Mutalisk and Kerrigan hero in one area. Opponent attacks with golden mobilize and only 1 skirmish is set. My FLU Mutalisk+Kerrigan as support vs. Zergling. Opponent has base in area and has built air support module. Final values are: Mutalisk 7/8 vs. Zergling 8/3 (6+1+1). Zergling has sufficient strength to kill Muta but cannot attack flying so Kerrigan should die. As heroes are only imune to splash damage and technology cards that kill, she should die, right? Or heroes can die only as FLU?

2) After skirmishes are resolved, defender and attacker have both only assist units not destroyed (Science Vessel and Queen). According to the rules attacker is victorious and defender has to retreat. But my friend says otherwise. Who has to retreat?

Yes. The Air Support Module would give an added attack value because the opposing unit it a flying unit. The base is launching surface-to-air missiles as the enemy approaches. Think of it as weakening the mutalisk, thus reducing his final health down to 7, instead of as adding to the attack value of the zergling. The zergling is being assisted by the base's auto-defense system.

I, however, am a little unclear about who is actually attacking. The original statement was, " Opponent attacks with golden mobilize... Opponent has base in area and has built air support module." Who is the "opponent" in both of these sentences, the same person or not? If the second "opponent" is the same as the first, then the Air Support Module wouldn't matter because he is attacking, not defending. Instead of saying "opponent", use "attacker" and "defender." Less ambiguity.

1) Yes, Kerrigen certainly dies as her death resulted by normal combat rules - no special technology effects or splash dammage. And yes, rules state (though with little RL logic) that no matter what unit was actualy killed during the sirmish - as long as the FLU is flying, the module would increase the attack against it.

2) IT never matters at all what kind of units the attack has left in his attack. If the defender has only assist left, then as long as the attacker still has one unit remaining (no matter what kind) - the defender must retreat... Though personally I think that makes little sense IRL.

Air support module still adds the attack value even if you are attacking into a sector with one of your bases that currently has enemy units in it.

Here is the description from page 41 of the book of how the +1 on the Air support module works:

"Anti-aircraft Defenses: When a battle occurs in an area
containing one of the player’s bases, the player receives +1
attack strength in each skirmish where the opposing front-
line unit is a flying unit. "

Notice it just requires a battle to occur it does not require you to be the defender.

Wait a minute, then. Who's got the base where? Are you saying that YOU conquered an enemy base and now HE is taking it back with a zergling? If so, then please say that. Your original post makes it sounds like either you're bouncing back and forth with the term "opponent" or that the attacker is coming from his base to an area with your units. Please be clear about these details. I know that you know what you meant, but we weren't there, and thus can't fill in these gaps of information.

In original post i meant: I have units in area with opponent´s base, now my opponent is the attacker and is trying to take it back. Look at the skirmish values
