Hey:

I used to post on the forums alot when Sabertooth had the game and now our local group is reforming.. so I have a few questions.

First: Is there a block 3, I cant seem to find anything on it?

Second: Any Major rule changes since Block 2?

Thanks for the help, Ive got a tourney tommorrow so Im trying to get my info together..

Block 3 was recently rotated out to be legacy but you can still choose to run block 3 along with any other cards you may have for your tournament. Block 3 is considered any cards that have the 4 point shuriken on it.

As for major rule changes, I don't recall any but just a few nitpicky rulings, you might want to take a peek over in the Q&A section and browse. I suggest looking at the omni-faq for major rulings.

So what shrukin are we on??

5 point shurikens. Take a look at the most recent state of the game, it should clear up alot of questions.

As for 5 point shurikens, there are only 2 sets and a few reprinted cards with 5 point shurikens. The 2 sets being, Shadowar 1 and Soul Calibur 4. Some of the reprinted cards include Mark of the Beast, Cursed Blood, Martial Arts Champion, and Close Throw. (If I missed any, someone else fill it in...)

There was a Block 3, but now it's all about Block 4. 5-Point Shuriken is going to be the legal stuff in the format from now on, so get up with the times.

Rules changes? Combo is the Keyword ability, and teaches itself pretty well. Ranged and Throws are now also considered to be Keywords too. They still have their same effects (Throws do half-damage, and Ranged can still block Ranged), just less wordy.

That's about it. Hopefully things get good at your store, and maybe we will come down from Milwaukee and play a little bit.

Thanks for the help I guess I can see why we got a bunch of boxes of block 3 so cheap :( Thats ok we'll catch up soon enough :)
