do evade tokens in fact cancel ten numbs crt. Can someone link me to where it says in in the faq bc some people say it cancels then others say an evade token adds an result to the dice pool which one is it?

Evade tokens add evade results to the die roll.

They cannot be used to cancel Ten Numb's crit.

FAQ, page 5:

Dice Results

Results that are added are treated as dice results that can only be canceled (they cannot be modified or rerolled). For example, when attacking with “Autoblaster” a [evade] result added by an evade token cannot cancel a [hit] result.

The reason you may be seeing two results is because the answer to that question has CHANGED over time. I changed is too strong then it went from widely being interpreted one way to clarified that it did not work. Similarly, Autoblaster was interpreted that it's [boom] results could be cancelled by tokens even if they couldn't be cancelled by dice although this was the clarification/change that also affected Ten's ability.

Once upon a time they did but it's now been changed so evade tokens are just the same as an evade result on a die.

But ten isn't really a great pilot he's expensive before you even add an upgrade.

But with mangler or calculation, he has become more useful. Still expensive though.

Cheap b-wings are great but expensive ones are handing the other guy an easy victory, with one agility he can focus it down easy and claim a big chunk of points.

Ten with Mangler a sensor and an ept is 40 points you won't earn back, lots of imp ships have shields these days.

Even with only 1 agility you may be able to arc dodge with the hypermobile B-Wing setups. Of course the key word there is 'may' as they may not have the highest PS allowing other ships to make corrections.
