So what is the meta right now?

Super Dash

And surprisingly enough our local meta is seeing quite a bit of Bobba + Decimator (Decimator is all over the place or I'd go into specifics.

You do love playing against my Boba Chirnoble list mister Ebonhawk. ;)

Still haven't found anything to beat Han regularly.

I'm currently running Rexler Brath + Boba Fett with HLC and Predator each, and Boba's got a Fleet Officer bumming a ride. Played in a 10 person tournament the other night vs. super dash and a dash+chewbacca list (not quite fat han, but reasonably close), and man the dual HLC action economy wrecks them. If you can stick 2 HLCs on a fatty for a bit they evaporate, and Rexler Brath loooooves shooting large turrets with tons of hull to flip cards on.

First off -.- you missed the "g." Secondly I hate you. Thirdly it is pretty solid list.

With my group of friends(8) who play all the time, the Decimator is king over Han. Also it is currently Ion Turrent Wing, but I think my friends will change this. I went on a tear last night because they all kept using Ion Turrets, which means one damage, while I was rolling 3's and 4's.

I don't play in tournaments, just for fun.

In our House Meta:

Dual HWKs with IG

Decimator with any swarm

Z95 swarm

Turrets out the ass

The game is healthy again, at least from where I'm standing.

That's true for my group. We have variety now thanks to Scum and other upgrades that have came out.

I play weekly in Atlanta and run a biweekly x wing stream on twitch. Not a great player by any means, but I am thrilled to say that thru various channels of observation, IE tournaments, league nights, and surveying players for our streaming show, I am thrilled to say that after Wave 6, I am seeing the healthiest and most varied meta since Wave 3. Others are complaining in other areas that turrets and phantoms are still rampant, though, and that's upsetting. I'm also not saying that heavy turrets and phantoms are not present, they are just significantly less common than they were at the start of Store Champ season. It's also a joy to see older ships like the Y wing return to the table in rebels and Scum. Even the humble old X wing is having a great time here in the south. Makes me doubt the cries that it needs a fix.

It was admittedly a frustrating game for a while there, both in having to play against net lists and even an almost requirement to play one or not have a chance. The game is healthy again, at least from where I'm standing.

I know it's far to early but I wonder what the ordinance fix will do to the meta. Ordinance touches so many different ships most of which could use a little help however any ordinance fix potentially can have wierd effects on balance. Will be nice to hear what they have planned in wave 7.

Power Hawks (from what I have seen) is 2 Hawks and 1 y-wing that drop high PS ships to 0 and then pummel with 4 dice attacks...it's a neat list to watch but looks a little tricky to play.

It's not tricky. People look at your base 1 red attack and want to bumrush you. That's when their ship gets PS 0 and pummeled by the group.

...yeah I don't play with people dumb enough to just look at that.

Store Champion Skirmish! X-wing Featured Match-B'…:

Works pretty well here. Two of our many Local store champions playing their winning lists. The dual HWKs and Y wing make pretty easy work of a tanky rebel list whose player tried pretty hard to keep his distance. Probably would have been better to move closer and have target locks. At any rate check it out, both players played a good game.

And at this time I'll of course shamelessly plug our live show. We stream X wing with commentary every Wednesday at twitch.tv/fcbcomicsgames, and I try to find interesting lists like these to show.

Pretty random right now. When I start seeing Garven I'll know we've reached meta Nirvana.

I know they're using the new FAQ for the Campaign Against Cancer this weekend. Looking forward to seeing what ships come out to play.

I was at the South Bend CAC event. It was an incredible array of lists. I was surprised at how few fat falcon, fat decimator, and phantoms there were. Two of the 8 pods were won by swarms (Dom with a 7 tie swarm in first place and myself with a 5 tie swarm + soontir taking down pod 4). Lots of B-Wings and IG-88s. A surprising amount of Firesprays. Only a couple Dash+Corran. I can't wait to get the full rundown of the lists.

I'm still seeing lots of two and three ship builds. A six ship scum build won our last tourney though.

There is a big difference between a 60 and 75 minute game. How I ended up with my 3 A-Wing PRocket build but also learned about points, not always great to go small. If I lost two 30 pts I could lose with time. The Prockets were to cause massive fast fatal damage to the largest point total ship out there and then dogfight till time ran out.
