Official: SW Armada Dice Packs Shipping 4/21/15

By Enquiringnewt, in Star Wars: Armada

Back again,

Shipping date for US distributors for the Armada Dice packs is 4/21/15. Still no word on Wave 1 other than end of this month/ beginning of next.

Good hunting o7,

Newt

Thanks again for the update. Man, might just have to wait till May for the rest of Wave 1 since the dice were on the boat way before the expansions.

Morale broken.

Hmm.

Well, I.. despite anything remotely resembling information or evidence.. will remain stoic.

For psychological reasons, I'm convincing myself to expect to play with Wave 1 ships no less than like a month from now.

Any earlier just might be grounds for sad feels.

We must stand strong lest our already dubious sanity shatter.

Honestly I hope this experience has shown having one major port on the west coast handling so much freight is handicapping ourselves. We can do better. We should do better.

There are many ports on the West Coast handling these shipping contracts. They're all under the same unions, so it's behaving as one port, almost.

One of the major hurdles in international shipping to the US is the Jones Act. This basically states that only US-owned ships may move goods between US ports. So international ships dumping goods into the US usually may only land and offload at one US port.

Right, but not every international ship is registered to the same port. That's all I'm clarifying. The strike didn't shutdown a single port on the west coast, they all slowed/stopped/closed...

This guy has been right everytime. No reason to doubt him now. Thank you so much for the update.

Maybe they will release wave 1 on 4.5.2015? May the Fourth be with us..! Although the wait would be a torment - we really shouldn't be left with the starter set for too long. It will get boring soon.

Dont forget last time Newt posted about wave 1 he said that they were expecting the dice to come in at the same time so you never know...

Gosh I hope wave 1 comes out soon game is sorta stale atm .. (as I'm sure xwing was at the time)

Pff, Ive played it twice so its not stale yet for me but its definitly not really going to give us a real feel for what sort of game its going to be until we have that first wave :)

Go read a history book instead of getting your opinions from cable news.

Unions once had their place yes but nowadays they are another cog in the machine they once rallied against.

And yes I have read many history books.

Now back on topic.

Yay more dice! Since there won't be any acrylic ones to win with no Armada Regionals at all this year guess I will end up buying a set.

You do not want a Bannana Republic in the US, life quality for the majority would crash super fast. History has proven that time and time again. There is no Good Will that will protect the average person, we have to fight for it every step of the way.

Unions are not evil. Without them your life would be worse off. Period.

My degree is in history. Read plenty about them, thanks.

Disagree with your statement. Period.

Have a nice day!

I hate to do it, but I'll probably also be buying a set as well.

Not sure how you interrupted what the working conditions were like from 1860's-1930's but our grandparents and great grandparents didn't put their jobs and life at risk for nothing. Period. (Degree, maybe in modern history where most of Americans forgot what life was like before someone fought for our rights.)

As much as I would like to weigh in on this issue, this forum is not the place for it. We should not let the thread be locked.

I'm not sure what the evidence is that the dice are imminent, but I imagine that it is accurate. They were indeed the first thing on the boat, as far as the Upcoming page was concerned, but their status was changed back to 'at the printer' a week or two later.

I would have said that this was a webmaster error, not actually a boat that was turning around. However, Benn Gleck can probably trace this to: Aliens.

But, it definitely seems like an extra set of dice is necessary to play this game smoothly. I'll certainly be putting a set on pre-order today along with another VSD and a GSD.

Sorry, I have triggers becuase of my family's history and struggles. Having someone announce their hate of such rights make me debate. Having an education just makes it worse. I am done.

You can disagree all you want but Unions are here to stay until we get Federal protections.

I didn't argue whether or not they are here to stay.

The good news is, union membership is down. :)

Degree in modern history? Never heard of such a thing. It's generally just a Bachelor of Arts, History.

At least we will be getting wave 1 and the dice pack soon, despite all the delays caused by the union on the west coast.
