Entering my first store tournament and wanted to try this, not with the hope of winning, but purely for the cool looking ships

Black sun Vigo (Star Viper) with proton torps and munitions failsafe

4 x black sun soldier (Z95) with cluster missiles

What do you think?

Your list has very low pilot skill and an over-reliance on unreliable-at-best munitions (esp. when only one of your ships has the Failsafe)

I would advise upgrading the Vigo to Xizor with Autothrusters (an auto-include on StarVipers imo), the Virago title, Fire-control systems or Advanced sensors, and either Veteran Instincts or Predator. If you downgraded the Z-95's to Binayre Pirates, you could probably afford one more (assuming you own another one)

Thanks for the feedback, I'll see about upgrading to Xizor, and do see your point about the missiles maybe miss firing but like the idea of the salvo's of missiles at range 2

You could do something like this. You can downgrade to pirates, but it doesn't really get you anything useful.
