For the entirety of the game line, you get to play humans and just one other race or creature. It can be anything in the setting: halflings, vampires, goblins, skaven, beastmen, Dark Elves, whatever.

Dwarves. Everyone loves dwarves in Warhammer. If not, nail him to a tree, and burn him!

...just kidding. No need to burn, ha may change his mind later. Nailing is enough.

Seconding Dwarves.

Their Norse-like culture is pretty sweet and european.

Also dwarves, followed by ogres. (but since I can choose only one, dwarves win)

Humans and halflings - WFRP without pie is not WFRP.

I'd have to say Dwarf too! That is if we are talking about humanoids. Bit I find the suggestions on other creatures such as the Fimir, very interesting :-)
