180 pt Battle Report: Fleet Ambush!

My buddy Andrew and I were able to get another Armada game in - still using one core set so we're setting up on a 3'x3' board. We again randomly drew an objective: "Fleet Ambush". Since Andrew had lower points, he elected to give me Initiative. I chose to put the CR-90 in the ambush zone. I also put all 3 X-Wing squadrons with him (I think that's allowed? They were within range 1 or 2 of a friendly ship?). The ambush was sprung!

This is the last of the 180pt battles in the hopper, so we'll have bigger and badder 300pt guys up next!

Cool, but you said twice that your ships got to activate twice "because of initiative". What do you mean by that?

ahh basically that because the Rebels were first they got to activate ships "back to back". 2nd ship on TURN A, and 1st ship on TURN B. That make sense? I will edit to make it more clear!

Being able to double activate against a single ship fleet is a huge bonus!

Gotcha.

Even at 300 points, the Rebels (with initiative) have been enjoying that ability when they have it! It's great for zipping a Corvette right into the Danger zone at the end of the turn. Then blasting away at the start of the next before zipping away.

Corvettes at Speed 4 or bust!

180 points was fun, but 300 is such a different can of worms! Way better!
