Worst premiere for a character ever

By Adamquest64, in Tannhauser

So I finally recieved my Ramirez figure in the mail. My girlfriend (my only choice for an opponent for any game ever) didn't feel like playing any games for about a week after I got it, despite the fact that I bought her the Yula figure at the same time, and told her it was just for her. After days of hoping and praying, she agreed to play oner deathmatch with me on easy difficulty. (she never agrees to play with reserve troops, since that would have to make her play for more than the normal 30 min- 1 hr time, which I believe she already finds unbearable.)

So I deployed Ramirez as my first character, and released the Hound D.O.G. exitedly. She deploys Eva Kramer in my deployment zone using her special ability. Eva immediately uses her whip on my shiney new character and rolls a 10 on one of the dice. 5 successes. No shock roll for me because of the whip's special for rolling 10's. Ramirez goes down. I take the Hound D.O.G. off of the board, as it now has no use, since enemies can pass through it, and nobody else on my team had the skill needed to control the little drone. Neither model ever even got a chance to attempt an attack. Now it will be many days before she agrees to play again, since she only plays to make me happy, and would rather spend all of her free time laying on the couch.

I have never been so dissapointed. So much for trying out my new character. So how is Ramirez anyway?

I think the sudden death of characters is what makes Tannhauser appealing to me.

But, that said, I haven't gotten him yet.

ive bought him and still waiting for the postman

My favorite Opponent is my wife (but she s playing with really joy and fun) and i will report the job of ramirez as soon as he appears.

Ive bought Yula too (i m playing the germans in most games). At the Moment there are 3 Wins for the Union, 2 for the Reich and 1 for the Matriachy

He's pretty good. His special weapon can be very useful if the enemy ever bunches up and his specialty nades aren't bad either. However, HOUND can be used by anyone w/ the skill neccessary to use the remote control, not just Union characters. This can usually make him a prime target where someone kills him, picks it up, then delivers it to Heizinger (I think). Which in turn leads people to try and stop him from getting it. Might make the game a little too focused on him sometimes but then you could just TNT it before the enemy can use it.

So he's pretty decent then, that's good. Can't wait to have another attempt with him. No, my girlfriend still hasn't offered to play the game with me since I posted that first post several weeks ago. Hoping to find an opponent at the upcoming Dragoncon in Atlanta GA.

No local stores for you to play at?
