In my groups first game of pegasus, two issues came up. While they both seem to be addressed by the rules, they still seemed odd, so I would like clarification.

First--Kat's drawback seems to make it so that she cannot launch in a viper on her first turn. The rules seem to be straightforward, but this seems so odd that I feel I might be missing something.

Second--Ellen's every turn ability. Is she limited to only her skill set in drawing the cards after handing one off? Or can she choose from any of the 6 kinds of skill cards?

Actually it looks like both of your questions are answered in the latest version of the FAQ (8/18/09).

1. Specifically Kat's disadvantage only takes affect if she ends her action phase in the same location or space area as where she started her turn. So assuming she starts in the hanger deck, she could launch herself and end up going to sickbay.

2. Ellen tigh cannot draw outside her skill set from using her ability. Characters must be specifically allowed to draw outside their skill set such as the consolidate power card.
