Sorry if it's been answered before (i swear it has been, but i just can't find it) but, does the Remora get to use it's power when the Filch takes a card from the discard pile?

I assume it's figured as if the card never goes to the discard pile.

Also, does the Remora get a card when the Vulch steals a discarded artifact? That one I'd be more willing to believe as a yes based on it states that the card would be discarded.

Just things i was wondering since I was debating whether the discard pile counted as part of "the deck".
