Ive heard Path of the Master and Stand Off talked about but im not sure what they are.

Can anyone spoil them for me and how do you get them?

Path of the Master is a 2/5 Asset that lets you play any symbol specific ability, and gives any attack damage equal to the number of matching symbols in your card pool that match your characters. Usually 7 or more.

2 difficulty

5 control

+3 mid block

Resource Symbols: Air, Earth, Fire

E Commit 2 foundations: Your attack gets +4 damage. Your opponent may commit 2 foundations to cancel this effect.

E Commit 2 foundations: This attack gets -4 damage. Your opponent may commit 2 foundations to cancel this effect.

Path of the Master is a promo card that was only available at one of 3 PotM events, so unless you went you have little chance of getting them now unless you talk to people who did go and trade for their copies. The 2 with the most copies are Failed2K and Icarus_Rising, with iirc a couple hundred copies a piece. A pic of it can be found here:

Stand Off is a prerelease promo for set 12, and is available in the Fight Night Kit, or on CoolStuffInc, or you can trade for it.

Pat h of the Master does mess with the new meta a bit more then I had hoped. I didn't know it existed until now and it will be around for a while. Maybe they need to give that card out in prize support. Heck if my shop could get prize support that would be great. Anyway at least I have an idea of what it does.

potm was given out at the potm toournements if you want some i would probably ask who won those tournents cause they they will have over 100 odd well my play group do because 2 people came 2 and 3rd and 4th so we got lottsssssss so they just gave them outlol i have about 12 15 somin like that

depending on where u live talk to the people who won the events (i won the uk one so if u are in europe give us a shot in the uk forum and we can sort something)

I'm in Tulsa OK right now. Closest play group other then ours is an hour and a half to two hour drive and they play on a week night. I can't get PM's to work on here worth a darn so I'm a bit left out.

Has anyone heard if FFG is planning a redemption thing for PotM? I've got all 13 badges but I live in California and couldn't take time off to fly to wherever they had the thing to pass them out.

Seriously, how many people did they expect that could take off of work/school to attend an event like this after they had it going for a whole year?

FFG have stated that there will not be any kind of redemption for the patches. To be fair to them, back when STG started the PotM, they said that the final card would only be available at these events so everyone should have known where they stood.

Stand Off makes it really hard for Ivy to do anything =(

Eh, oh well. Not that big of a deal.

Im in New Zealand (sad Panda) so no path of the master event anywhere near us unless Auckland had one (which is still 9 hours drive from me) and the shop i go to wont start getting promos till after September. Which i guess is good cause we never saw any promos at all here.

1) How could they expect people to take time off from Work/School at the wrap up event, which took place a year after the whole thing started? In a city that is a major hub for one of the airlines? With Three months notice of the actual date of the event? I dunno. I'll suggest they give two years notice next time.

2) All extra copies of the card have been given to Jon Herr, who won the event, but was kind enough to Split them with Jeremy Ray. Last I heard, they each had 200+ copies of the card. I'm sure they'd be happy to part with them.

3) I've got like 4 extra... I'd be happy to part with them.

4) You wouldn't believe how many people actually sent patches with friends, or to strangers to get changed in. Hell, I exchanged patches for a guy in singapore I never met before.

Sadly I have no trade bait. Wish I did though.
