in another thread, someone had mentioned a new shadowar character with 7/18 death/life/void , was she one that a staff member was playing or was she a limited release like you mentioned astrid was?

That was Kisheri, a character that James was running. She'll be released eventually, I just don't know when. She wasn't given out at all this weekend.

I did not see Paul, but I saw a couple cards of his support and the most reccurring symbols were All, Fire and Order. As for Kisheri, she had a built in Keeper of the Watchers at the cost of 1 foundation, and then a R (5?+): after an ability reveals (or your ability, I do not remember exactly) a card from your opponrnt's hand, they discard a card. I'm only 70% sure of that wording, but that's the gist of it. I didn't get to play against James but I watched him play that deck a little as I was playing against Steve Horvath's Jin/Kazuya deck.

Yea, i played against Kisheri a few times over the weekend and played against it again this morning while waiting to turn in Wandering Master number. Pretty much everything you said there is correct Shadow. She is def. gonna be very good, not too ridiculous though. Oh, and her E was only playable on her attack, so it's not stupid on your opponent's turn.

so her E is keeper of the watchers (but commit 1 foundation instead of commit)
and her response is a 5+ if your ability reveals a card they discard a card?

what type of character is she (ninja/bandit/warlord/ect) based off of art?

I think I heard she was intended to be thief-esque... She wears a dark, hooded cloak. I don't remember much else about the picture...

yea..her clothing was very simple. Dark cloak on her and that was really about it, thief would sound about right.

...not too fond of the interpretation of Amy's appearance, but everything else on that card (barring the block) is nice.

It's too bad about that Donovan not being legal (though understandable), because the art is gorgeous. More of that style, please.

So it isn't even gonna be legal for Legacy? Why even hand out the characters then?

The Jin looks really cool, and I have to get my hands on the Donovan and Mitsurugi, any word on if they are going to give them out at all, maybe Legacy prize support?

pweh, i'm releived that Mitsurugi is 4 star-pointed, because he is ******* broken...

He should have been named "Infinitsugi" instead.

The Donovan and Mitsurugi were not given out... ever. >_> I had to do some trading to get them. They'll never be legal for fairly obvious reasons, but I do hope they are reprinted with different effects like the 8hs Cammy was. Those broken versions have been destroyed for the most part, and so few copies of them still exist.

To bad about the Donovan art being wasted on a non released card. Wicked cool character though. Gotta get a Clash of the Ages playset, I think I got one in my pack but I can't remember. People were about ready to mug each other for that Jin though.

...do you even have to guess? Thanks to promo Astrid, it's now acceptable to run 2 of each: Valkynsverd, Reaver's Axe, Valkyrie Shield, and Jimmy Kimmel. Hell, you could even throw in some Ymirfang and that Dragon's Torch thingy if you wanted.
