Accuracy Corrector+Autoblaster seems a no-brainer on IG-88, right?

Playing around with my new Aggressor and StarViper tonight. I tested the pair against a flight of TIE Bombers (since I also just acquired my third one of those) with a TIE Advanced for extra flavor.

I was intrigued to find the Aggressor came with an Autoblaster card, since it has seemed to fall out of favor. But then I came to the realization of what this does when paired with Accuracy Corrector.

Sure enough, even after my IG-88A was down to one hull, twice he found a wounded TIE sauntering into range 1 with just two hull remaining. Bam, instant guaranteed kill with the added benefit of leaching a fresh shield from the ambient sorrow of the debris cloud.

So with this astonishing loadout of two cannon slots, why would you NOT put AC+AB on an Aggressor? Is Advanced Sensors really that much more valuable? Or perhaps is there a nuance to the various IG pilots that makes one of them a better fit for this than the others?

Autoblasters are:

1. Expensive

2. Only usable at range one

It's a strong combination with the AC corrector, but you're spending more than an HLC for it, using up two slots, and it's range of use is more limited. Against higher PSed squads, it'll be pretty difficult to ever fire the AB.

And Advanced Sensors are pretty awesome on an IG: using C to boost, get a free evade, then S-Turn all in one go is pretty rocking. You're going to ultimately get more shots with that HLC (or Mangler) than you will the AB, dice modifying abilities will probably give you at least two hits a shot (it's not easy to avoid IG-88B firing an HLC the second time if he wiffs on the first!).

I will say that the AB+AC combo is probably pretty nice against more swarmish squads, especially with IG-88A able to then make ample use of his ability (poor guy gets little love...). But if you're up against an Engine Boosting Rear Admiral Chiraneau or PTL Soontir Fel (is there any other kind?), you'll be hard pressed to ever do meaningful damage to them. A TIE Swarm? That you can probably eat for breakfast.
