Improving the Firespray's survivability, without lone wolf

Predator + Tactician + Engine

Sure, most of those are NOT defensive upgrades, but the inclusion of stress giving out both arcs, boosting for positioning, and Predator to increase your offense allowing you to save your actions for focus or evade on defense is very good. These things all go a long way to making this ship live longer while allowing a much more flexible play style.

Also, Predator + Gunner + Engine allows you to take actions for defense and still have a very reliable fun, even if you remove engine it is pretty potent. Though it costs 3 more pts and doesn't let you use Stress mechanics to out play your opponent.

Going to try Expert Handling, Recon Spec and Stealth Device on Scum Boba tonight. He's going to get stuck in :)

How'd it work for you?

It was a mixed bag.

I came up against 3 Blue Squadron Bs with a Z in my first game. My M3 went down first, then Pablo (he did a good job though), leaving Boba. Unfortunately I was left with 3 Bs with hull, and though I made some good moves and danced around some asteroids it wasn't enough. None of the upgrades really came into full use. Stealth went down fast, and Expert Handling was untouched (didn't get any target locks on him). Lost but I'm fairly happy with how I flew. It is amusing seeing 8 focus tokens on Pablo at least.

Second game I had an Outrider with donut hole and Corran. I swapped out EH for PTL this time. I didn't lose a ship! But still, the upgrades didn't really come into play. I got in the hole and stayed there for a large chunk of the match.

I don't forget actions anymore. But I do forget abilities! Boba's wasn't used each time it should have been for sure. I am left wondering if Kath and her extra rear red would be a better option for me.
