Nasty loophole in the current rules/FAQ:

There is currently no rule forbidding multiple decloaks.

This means that a ship with PTL and SPA can decloak twice in one `decloak phase':

Decloak, perform evade action, PTL off that for a cloak action, then decloak again.

In other words: A phantom can perform a 10-forward maneuver (although a 9-forward would be better, as it leaves it stress-less)

(In the past, the FAQ mentioned that Advanced Sensors could not be used to cloak and immediately decloak, but this has been removed with the decloak changes).

Abuse it till they fix it!

It is actually prevented by the "once Per Opportunity" clause in the FAQ. You have one window to decloak, you can't use the "start of activation phase" twice to activate decloaking twice. You can only decloak once per such opportunity. Anyone who is decloaking, cloaking, then decloaking again is doing it wrong.

Yeah, but that's far less useful: you're unable to attack at the end of that sequence.

Um you could attack with a Barrel Roll or no action... and it is such that if you end in a bad position after move you tank up with the cloak and focus + evade.

Sure (and sorry--I read your list of action as barrel roll plus cloak rather than barrel roll or cloak). I'm just much less worried about this scenario than I am about something like decloaking forward twice and then executing a 4K before attacking your target from a tailing position on Round 1.

So confused, how are you getting two "Choose Action" phases in a turn? Or I guess, how do you get actions upon decloaking? Or is there an upgrade card out there with Scum that I don't know about? The only thing I can think of is using advanced sensors I think, to move your "choose action" segment before the manuever segment, but that doesn't give you a second "choose action."
