I was wondering how players felt about the following idea. This is actually taken from the Call of Cthulhu FAQ:
(v2.0) Duration of Effects
If a triggered ability has no specified duration,
then the effects of that ability expire at the end of
the current phase. “Put into play,” “Remove from
play,” and “Take Control” effects are all an exceptions
to this rule, and unless specified by a specific
duration are considered to be permanent effects.
I've felt for some time that this type of clarification should be added to GoT. It takes care of the problems created by cards like CS Magister Illyrio, Legacy cards Tarth, POdrick Payne, etc., where there is no duration specified on the card. If a card were to get some sort of permanent, lasting effect than that could become what would be needed to be printed on the card. Although this doesn't affect many cards at present, it seems like it would help solve problems.
