Edited by BiophysicalI don't expect any of you to agree, but I honestly think that some people are meant to fly defenders and some aren't, just like any other ship. Defenders are more difficult to fly and are not the greatest ship ever, which is good, I don't want a broken meta. I like their dial the way it is and I think you can still be unpredictable at times. There have been a few situations where my opponent thinks he knows I'm going to do a white K and I use that to my advantage and surprise him. There are plenty of times where I get into jousts at the end game and the white K gives me a huge edge. It's one of those "half empty" or "half full" kind of questions. Adapting is the name of the game no matter what build you are flying. Yes the Defender is a bit expensive but if you are a skilled Defender ACE, then respect.

I spent 98 points on each. The Aggressors had more tricks- and stuff.
So, are the Defenders over-priced (like most of us agree) or are the Aggressors under-costed?

neither
the Defenders are not Aggressors and vice versa. Literally the only similarity between the two (apart from the arc) is their statline. Nothing else about their playstyle or capabilities are even remotely the same. Trying to force the Defender to be some kind of bloated large ship is going to work about as well as just running aggressors with flechette cannons and nothing else.
