Hi Alboy,

I have speak with Jon, and he says, that if you are on the Crown, and you have not completed your warlock quests then you are stuck foreverdemonio.gif

So it would be wise, that you only go to the crown with 4 completed warlock quests !

So that's what I said then, that you must complete your 4 quests before reaching the CoC, so there is no CoC spell at all with this way of playing.

But that's the way of the different ending cards..

Unless you draw Crown and Sceptre, then you have probably the old ending rule back...

I am still wondering why the word sceptre is in it..

Here's what I'm looking for from an expansion:

  • I want an overlay board that replaces the inner region and ideally, the middle region as well
  • . I would have loved a new inner realm overlay (as I have said previously too) to really add variety to the game. Maybe next time, but then again, that will probably be another corner one.

Then you would probably be happy if the Dragon Tower will be made, or not?

Have you take a look at our custom dragon tower at the home brew section...

I wonder if you like it..

Yes I had seen it before- it looks fantastic. The only thing that concerns me about having a centre piece like that is how tall it is, and it obscuring the other side of the board from players view. It's almost a whole new way of playing just for the inner region, which I am not sure about. I would ideally like an inner region overlay that is still flat, the same as the rest of the board, so it is more in keeping with the rest of the game. As I said before, the Frostmarch expansion could've had an icy waste in the middle of the board for the Ice Queens lair, instead of her in the middle of the hot firey region that's there at the moment- making no sense with her being an "Ice" Queen and all. They could even go the whole hog, and have an expansion set purely with different overlays to choose from for the inner region- how cool would that be?

I would like to see more ways to avoid spells (like amulet) or more uses for water battle (like event: Drought ... every turn you lose something if you haven't WB or something like that), more global events like torment or other things with different solutions... I prefer these things than new spells

And i like inner region, but there are so many ways to avoid lychantrop and death (everyone with high craft choose the way of vampire, and who has high strenght go to fight lord of darkness), and i like that way.

It would be pretty if in the frostmarch expansion we can have a kind of event who make you move only with mules (for 2 or more spaces) or of 1 space only if you haven't them, and some evil follower like poltergeist or cursed by hag, or some cursed object you can't leave (a sword that change your alignment, making it opposite than cards that give you benefit: good if you meet the ghost, evil if you go to chapel; or a sword that make you use 2 dies in combat but you have choose the worst one et cetera)

There simply aren't enough ways to get a water bottle for that imo. As I have said elsewhere, I think they should be available for purchase at the City and Village, but they aren't.

Those places don't need Water Bottles, they got plumbing and faucets lengua.gif.

So, an event card can be "fountain" and you can find a Water Bottle there, indeed... full :D haha

Only the Merchant knows how to make a deal with those villagers to get those rare water bottlespartido_risa.gif

I think FFG should release a cheap deck of 'enemy' cards. I'm thinking maybe 40 cards, 35 of them are new enemies and 5 or 6 special items specifically geared toward the new enemies.

I genuinely think the game could be improved by increasing the frequency of enemies. I find we draw treasures more often than monsters, and more monsters might help balance the prophetess.

As for creative new monster concepts, I think one way they could spice things up is to make monsters who are stronger or weaker, depending on where they are drawn. For instance, an 'Ent' could have a standard Strength of 5, but that could increase to 8 if drawn in the woods or forest spaces (yes, I know you don't typically draw cards in the forests, by there are occasional exceptions).

It's not needed to add only 40 cards of enemies to the deck..

You could think that if you are only playing with the base edition. but if the Reaper expansion is added to the base game, then the balance is better.

I have no complains so far.

And the dungeon creeps already full of enemiesdemonio.gif

Just noticed something on the Talisman Island post- he states the Warlock character is "the Warlock himself" meaning the one from the Warlock space.

Are we sure the warlock character is a playable character and not an NPC like The Reaper? It would be pretty cool if you had to track down the warlock to deliver your quest items to him, but if he ever lands on you and you don't have the quest items, he turns you into a toad.

Yeah, it's 100% sure that he is not a NPC.

You can see it, if you look to his character card AND there is a figure for it.

No mistake about it gui%C3%B1o.gif

Today I played Talisman. My Character, after I finished the game:

My game saw today 6 different Talismans.. and I only played with my neighbour..

The question still stands- why the hell would the Warlock go on a quest so he can reward himself with a Talisman he already has? Can "Talisman Island" shed any light on this? Can anyone else? It really does not make any sense whatsoever, unless he is a different warlock.

He is not actually THE Warlock - he is merely A Warlock.

You can see the real Warlock on the Warlock Quest Ending card!

Well that's what I would assume. But on your website, and I quote: "One of the four characters included with The Frostmarch is the Warlock himself! Perhaps he fancied stretching his legs after all those years in the cave". Plus he starts in the Warlocks Cave.

Yes I know. But that is just blurb. gran_risa.gif

Haha! I see gran_risa.gif

Yes, I think I will just assume it is a different Warlock too, even though he is starting in the cave. Perhaps they are best buds. Otherwise, as I said, it doesn't make any sense.

Talisman Island! Stop hogging your pictures and post them all in high res! >_< Sharing is caring man, we know you've got them stashed away in your dungeon. ;)

Hmm... They should have called him "Warlock's Apprentice" or something. Otherwise, it looks like he is THE Warlock. preocupado.gif

Exactly!!! You hit the nail on the head. Too many people will mistake him for THE Warlock, not another one. Only when you look at both pictures (on the character card and on the Quest rule sheet) do you realise they look different. Those who don't pay too much attention to the pictures will automatically think what I said earlier- why the hell is the Warlock completing his own quests to reward himself with something he already has?

As you say, they should have called him something else to differentiate him.

Jon said to me, that you can called him the brother of the Warlocklengua.gif

But Apprentice sounds also good..

( anyway, in Third edition, the Warlock has also a grey beard) ( same as the ending card, without a pointy cap..

Thanks for the confirmation pal.

The slow-witted and unlucky brother, then, since the other one has got all the power and the cool items. lengua.gif
