WFR: Old World Bestiary Comapatible with DH?

By Glyphknight, in Dark Heresy Rules Questions

Hello!

I've pretty recently started playing Dark Heresy but I own all the books that have been released to the game, I'm a GM who enjoys just making up the adventure as the players go and never really use prewritten adventures except for inspiration and templates for NPCs. I love Creatures Anathema but feel like I need more creatures to spice up the world, anyways my question is;

Is Dark Heresy and Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay using the same system to a degree where it would be possible to use the beasts/characters from Old World Bestiary in my DH campaigns without messing it all up with inbalanced stats etc from the Fantasy Roleplay monsters?

Thanks in advance for any sort of replies that can help me decide if the Old World Bestiary is worth buying and I apologize for any spellingproblems that you might find in the above text, English isn't my primary language.

Well, they do have the same characterisics and most traits are identical, so yes.

But you have to be careful about certain special abilities that they don't get too strong/weak compared to their 40k counterparts.

Yes, but there is a missing attribute. I think it's Per. The other thing to remember is that initiative is done differently in DH. In WFR you added your full agility, while in DH you add only the agility bonus. So divide any initiative bonus by 10.

Well, I've actually applied the DH initiative rule to WFRP 2.0, it makes more sense...

Thanks for the replies guys, I'll probably order the book then and see if I can get it to work properly.
