I'm a huge fan of 40K and I've been collecting the books for years and I've recently gotten my hands on Dark Heresy. I've never played any games like these before, as in dungeons and dragons style games so I have to admit, I'm not the sort of fellow that learns well by studying books, instead learning far faster by doing.

Anywho, what I'm posting for is to make a request to start an online campaign for myself and a few others (also online) who would be quite new to this and I would appreciate a friendly GM (With a good bit of patience) to give us a starter game some time. I have an IRC room set up already (We are part of another forum and I tried to get a game working but everyone there who are GMs already have more than enough games on their plates already).

Any help and advice would be gratefully received.

I'd like to help you, but I've got a fair bit on my plate at the moment (both DH related and not). I could potentially run you through a single mission as a starter game (Edge of Darkness, if you're curious), but nothing long term I'm afraid. We'd also need to see if I'm available at a time that works for your lot; I'm on GMT+1 currently and evenings are when I'm free (8pm onwards at earliest, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday unavailable).

That would be fantastic for me. And I should have mentioned my timezone too which is standard GMT. I generally get Thursdays and Fridays off so anything from Wednesday to Fridays are good for me, from about 6 Saterdays and most evenings during the week but because my hours change from week to week I couldn't guarantee I'd be on concistantly at, say six PM or earlier.

Or, you could look on www.rpol.net. It's a site that is dedicated to online roleplaying, and it's got a load of DH games going on at the moment.
