Characters and Power

By Buatha, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

So, I'm new to AGoT. I have read the rule book and watched the tutorial and there's something I don't see explained.

For instance, with Eddard Stark, he claims one power when he comes into play. The video showed him holding the Power token on his card and this seems different from the power on the house card (even though it's counted toward the total). So, I take it that there is a danger here since while the Power is protected from Power Claims, the character can be removed/killed by an effect/action and thus destroying the Power?

Hello,

Some characters can have "power" on themselves (characters with renown, infamy…). These powers count for your total of power, and, as you said, they cannot be stolen by your opponent.

But, of course, if the character dies, you lose the power.

Ooops, mistake due to network issues ^^

Just to make sure no one reads this wrong - ANY character can have power on it (and have it count toward your total power). It's far more likely to be on a character with Renown or Infamy, but putting or keeping the power on the character (and counting it toward winning) have nothing to do with the keywords.
