In Flight Report

By Guest, in News

Since FFG’s founding in 1995, the “InFlight Report” has had many incarnations. At first, it was a color newsletter (printed in exactly in one edition, in those dark ages before the internet revolution). It later became a bi-weekly in-house newsletter for the FFG staff (which lasted about a year.) In recent years, it has found a new and comfortable home as the annual “State of FFG” seminar held at GEN CON in Indianapolis.

Once again, we extend an open invitation to players, retailers, bloggers, journalists, and any other interested parties, to attend FFG annual “Inflight Report” in the Indiana Ballroom F at the Marriot Hotel. Attendance to the event is free of charge. (Game Code: SEM0902068.)
Hosted by Christian T. Petersen, the CEO of FFG, the 2009 InFlight Report will highlight FFG thoughts on its position in the marketplace, interesting anecdotes about FFG's operations, as well as a bundle of news and announcements. Towards the end of the seminar, Christian and a few of the senior FFG managers and designers will be taking questions from the audience on any FFG topic.
If you own an iPhone or iPod touch, if you haven’t already, download the amazing (and free) “Gen Con” application to manage your experience at the show. Note that in this application, and in the Gen Con program booklet, the above event was mistakenly listed as the “Flight Report”.

Gen Con is the largest annual game convention for the hobby games market, held annually in Indianapolis, IN, USA. The dates for the 2009 Gen Con show are August 13th through the 16th. FFG attends GEN CON in a major way, demonstrating and showcasing new releases and classic titles, interacting with FFG players and the industry at large, and hosting more than 200 registered game events. The event is, in GEN CON's own words, the "best four days in gaming".
