Weird? Nah... most of your list was Solid... I just have to question listing Poison under Metal. Glam sure... Metal... I gotta be honest... I'm cringing.

On the otherhand - Mad props for listing Anvil - Canadian Metal at its finest.

Hey Antigoth if u want some New "OMGBESTCANADIANBANDEVAR" Canadian Metal go look up Threat Signal. They're from Hamilton (and the bassist used to work at the EB by my old job, didnt find out til i saw him in concert lol).

Sounds good. I'll peak into it.

I have to admit - the Canadian Metal Scene is very Healthy with stuff like:

F__k the Facts - Ottawa
Dreadnaught - Winnipeg
Distorted Memory - Winnipeg
Voivod - Quebec (granted these guys are long time legends)
3 inches of blood - Vancouver

and the list goes on and on and on.

I quite loved Endgame.

So...I noticed nobody here posted any Maximum the Hormone...

fail...*******...******* fail. Miserably.

Also, besides everything Maximum the Hormone ever made, check out Korean Thrash Metal Band Crash. I never thought I'd enjoy Smoke on the Water, but...

I'm not going to list any songs, but I'll throw a few bands out there.

DevilDriver

Soilwork

Unearth (Why has nobody listed this yet?)

Children of Bodom (Same.. why?)

As far as more recent stuff goes....

Five Finger Death Punch

Killswitch Engage

I don't really know if I'd call The Sword metal so much, but they've got some pretty good stuff that I really like.

Bullet for My Valentine

Static-X (More industrial, but still good)

Anything by Trivium. Although The Crusade sounds more like a Metallica album..

didnt know so many people in UFS liked metal

Are you seriously astonished that gamers like a genre of music that is known to be as ostracized as gaming by societal standards?

I listen to dance music all the time.
