Just need this on printed in black and white to show my playgroup..

By Mordai, in UFS Rules Q & A

Stand off versus Perfect sense of balance and torn hero: Can PSoB and torn hero react to the second part of stand of? the canceling part

Exeeding your handsize: I dont have do discard down to my handsize during review step right?

Stun: Can they choose to commit their charachter, and if their char is the last ready piece can I stun it?

Tira Gloomy+ Jolly side: These are part of the char so when char is commited this can't be used?

Engimathich Manouvers: A friend uses this + rose and Cerv recheck stuff to ensure a block, another friend thought of it as broken, so can he choose a number, they check, then force them to recheck?

Think this was all, will post more if I remember..

Stand-off's commit-to-negate part is considered a cost and thus Perfect Sense and Torn Hero may not respond to it, and committing Torn Hero for Stand-Off's negation clauses will NOT let you commit two of your opponent's cards.

If you're above your hand size, you do not have to discard down, it just means you probably won't draw any during your draw step.

Stun can't commit a character. Stun commits foundations as an effect, your character may only commit "as a foundation" to pay a cost.

Jolly/Gloomy add the abilities to the character, so act like they're any abilities on the character. Committed card -> can't play abilities on the card.

Enigmatic's check can only be modified by card effects like Rose3 and Re-check effects etc., but yes, you can use those to alter the check. It's especially fun with the 3/4 Dark Hado from SF03.

Thanks for those answers Tag :) Don't know what's gotten into the heads in my playgroup lately :P sometimes they come up with strange rulings that nobody heard before, on cards ppl played for ages..

Can you please tell me where it is said that the commit to cancel is considered part of the cost?

It was ruled somewheres down in the forum stuck and unable to be found

Future revision of the AGR, etc.

It's based on rulings going all the way back to Soul Arena Lizardman, against whose Enhances you could discard cards to negate their effects. His Enhances do not trigger anti-discard abilities because you aren't discarding due to an effect, you are discarding to pay a cost to negate the effects.

Same thing applies to Overwhelming Strength from set 1.
