Cthulhu likes strawmen
If you enjoyed the North Korean Attack on Sony...
I like that cute green stuff hugging guys around!
And I swear, it was a mere coincidence that I missed the whole w-end attack! Jason, I need a new fridge. Tomorrow I'll mail you about that.
I can't wait to hear about that...
Cthulhu likes strawmen
Well, that explains so much. Excuse me while I try to be where there aren't any strawmen.
*Runs off screaming and flailing with arms*
Although I'm starting to wonder if he likes real strawmen or the philosophical fallacy. In any case that only too 10 minutes of my time to draw lol
So...is this just going to keep happening :I?
I am almost positive Jason is one of the traitors! I... wait...
*Realises Steve-O and Jake have been replaced by strawmen*
I'm the only one not a traitor, aren't I?
인터넷바카라...
I mean...
That is completely ridiculous!
That reminds me, didn't the 5th edition of call of Cthulhu RPG have a bit about how the japanese kanji for "demon" was suposedly based on Cthulhu's face?
There's something I don't understand... usually, during past days, at this time the fora were accessible... yet here I still see the Arkham board flooded with spam, and no way to discover what's new in Arkham..
I guess the traitors finished their final mission...
These attacks make my eyes bleed
Despite my different twili... timezone, I also need to wade through ten pages of traitorous offal to get to the forum now.
What I don't understand is why they would spam an English-speaking forum with what I assume is advertisment for nether surgery for Koreans.
The thing about hacking is they're making money somehow. The content of the message doesn't matter. Hacking is not about "oh look what I did" anymore.
Can we send one or more of the ancient ones after the spammers? That would show them. With our collective knowledge of Lovecraftian lore, we should be able to manage that...

Idk how we can do that.... Unless one of us writes a really bad review for The King in Yellow.
That would probably tick off Hastur a lot..

Just sign it with the spammer's account name. That oughtta do it.

Well, if we aren't already, we could always start using the "report" button on as many spam messages as we can tolerate. Obviously FFG is aware of the issue, but maybe a stronger voice of complaints would lead to stronger action.

I am going to assume that "stronger action" in this case would be sending one or more of the ancient ones after the spammers. Sounds reasonable to me.

I did that, asking to remove all the 40 pages of spam, as it was done in the past. No answer so far (it's 10+ hours from my message)
FFG, you really, really needs to change it's forum software! I can't use the quote feature on this post, but someone said that the thing about "hacking is that its about making money and it isn't that it's not about "look what I can do any more"
I guess that means we aren't being hit by the shaper faction then.
Holy cow, I want our forum back. Seriously, this darn BS is making everything inaccessible and threads impossible to follow. And it's not only this board to be flooded.
I'm sure there's someone somewhere that is working on it, or they're hiring a consultant. But they should at least make a news to tell us what the plan is?
Yup, I think Anton is the responsible for these issues, and I'm sure he's working on it, but it's a lot of time... should be more complex than we could expect, I think
This is painful!
Well, for those who were playing, we've had 9,635 (and counting) spam messages.
Congratulations to the winner of our contest, Mr. Chon Kim...wait, he's Korean?!?!
9635? It'd be interesting to know where the original thread with the game is hidden, to proclaim the winner...
It's between the post on North Korean Cyber Intrusions and the one on Psychologically-Impaired World Leaders...
