Hello, I am a long time player who has been going to a comic stores in Marietta, GA for quite some time in search of players who play our wonderful game of UFS. And now I am beginning to tire. It started out at a gigantic playgroup and for some reason just started shrinking and shrinking. The players who got me interested in the game seem to have moved on, and I just came back from a trip to the store where only 3 players showed for the regularly shedualed tourny. So, rather than giving up entirely, I am asking for the last time that anyone who playes UFS in Marietta or near by take some time out of their busy Saturdays to come to Dr. No's comics and games at 4:00 for some card related gaming. You may have noticed I did not post this in the announcements section. One, because the announcements section is not regularly checked by many forum goers, and two, because it is more of an 'our playgroup is plugged into an IV and ready to go altogether' situation than anything. Please show up guys, I'm getting tired of this.

Amoung those who normally but didnt show up was Ben shoemaker. And there were attempts at contact.

Ben's group are the ones who run the tourneys.

I'm also a part of the Marietta group with Makingsenseofus and i was one of the three people who showed up. Our real problem is that the majority of players who play at our store are in ben's group and when no one in their group shows up we get turnouts like the one this past saturday. We are running out of ideas. All of our players have either just stopped showing up completely or moved to playing a different game. We basically need an adrenaline shot of new/old players to come. I love this game and i'm facing the possibility of not being able to play in a tournament regularly and it kind of scares me.

Ian/Keenan. I literally just got home from a 15 hour car ride from rural Kansas. Without internet. Without phone service. Without UFS stuff. I have a lot i want to talk about with you guys though.

Marietta still has a very solid core of people. Its just a matter of getting them together at one spot at once. Also, I have been trying to hand off scouting to someone with an open saturday. However, nobody has really given me any indication of being interested in taking up the position. I know you guys are upset tha I can't be there to run every saturday, but i never intended for this to be long term. I just wanted to do it while we transitioned to a new store and found something or someone more permanent.

However, my situation has changed now and I should be good to run events on Saturdays until my job decides to give me hours. In the meantime though, one of the other consistent Marietta players should step up and start getting qualified for scouting. I am in my last semester of college, am student teaching, and I work so my time is very very limited. I love UFS though and still enjoy playing it when i get the time (which should be more regular in the coming weeks).

Also, Naruto starting up at our shop has leeched off a lot of our UFS crowd. Kroswek says he still plays but I simply don't know about the other players. Still, UFS has a strong showing when we get people out there. I will do my best to get down there on Saturdays from now on but guys, someone NEEDS to step up as a new scout. Also, Keenan/Ian, I can't control who shows up to the shop. You guys make your own decision. Getting a regional is looking pretty bleak now with our attendance wavering so bad. If you guys want a regional in Atlanta then you NEED TO SHOW UP! Marco and Ben can run tournies too.

In essence guys, don't fret. Things will pick up. My schedule is much more free now and i can devote more time to the game as a whole. Both of you guys can call me during the week too if you want to work out something to get attendance up. You guys know im willing to help you out. Just call me. I am back in civilization and should be able to answer my phone. Oh, and where is Piglett and Isaac? And why doesn't Ty play? And Kroswek, when are you going to start playing again?

Kool drew sounds like things are picking up in your area again hope something picks up here as well .

I haven't been able to show due to some crappy things going on. The bad part is thats not gonna change for the next two months.

I'm still playing just dont have the time to play >.> But I do agree that new blood is needed with our attendance going from 15 to three from week to week. Drew can handle it better than I, b/c as it stands I'm AWOL till feburary without question. Sorry.

My main concern at this point is that we really need new players but the way the game has evolved its hard to get someone into the game. Especially in our area..... we have some serious power players that barely have to think to make great decks.... i still have trouble beating a lot of you guys and i consider myself a good player..... admittedly though i do make decks sometimes more for fun than anything..... but the whole point of me saying that is who wants to start investing tons of money and time into a new game when they get trounced every week at the tournament... i know i wouuldn't especially when a lot of the cards that are almost required to play certain decks cost so much.... I'm still not even up to paying for BRT's and i can't even find feline spike's, Tsurane Kiri's, or defender's (cards that are considered the most viable kill cards for the upcoming block 3 so far)..... new blood is hard to find as is in card games, and this game makes it even harder.....

I have been really busy lately, but am starting to get some free time. As a result I will be coming this weekend no question. Hopefully I can rally a few of the duluth crew to join me. If possible, I'll be able to make a weekly appearance at the shop for tourney's. I feel like I have fallen way behind and the game and am trying to get back in full force. Also Drew, does Dr. No's have a strong following of FNM players? or do they have a big turnout for anything gamingwise on friday night? If so I might try this week to do a little recruiting, whether it be there or at the new gaming pit. LMK.

More or less I was giving an update on my lack of apperance. And maybe the lack of our power players being present could encourage some new blood for the time being idk. On another note, Xavian games is shutting down and some of their playerbase maybe making a regular appearance at Dr Nos. These include Monte and Marcus so they might be bringing more of the rest of their group.
