Well make sure its got the FFG symbol on the back of it rather than Black Industries, then you'll have some of the erratta already included- presuming you are talking about the Dark Heresy rulebook.

Matt said it does have the FF on the book.

Are you new to forums? It helps to actually explain everything and never assume people will know what you are talking about. Statements like yours mean almost nothing to a stranger on the Internet who doesn't know what kind of things you look out for or who Matt is.

Just new to this one. Thought it would be better to jump in and then sink.

well, this is a pen and paper role playing game, so if you wer expecting a miniature game you might be a little taken aback (though you can easily come up with rules to apply the combat to miniatures if you wish....)

however, if you really like the idea of this roleplaying game start out with the core rulebook. As mentioned before if you get the fantasy flight one it will already have a few fixes that came about since the first printing. It contains all the rules for creating your characters and getting a game going. You might want to figure out who will be your game master and who will be the players.

after you get your feet wet you may want to look at the accompanying books (and there are quite a few). There are also some pre-done "missions' to help your GM get used to thier role if they've never done it before. others can provide a lot more background on the other source books because I've only ever played games just with the core rulebook.
